I'd like to start off by saying I am a minor and I am aware cfs is often not diagnosed in teenagers because fatigue is common in this stage of life.
Last year I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia after a few years of worsening pain and fatigue. I had gotten used to it (or as used to chronic pain and fatigue as you can get) and my doctors think I may have gone to school through having mononucleosis without knowing it.
Currently, my fatigue is at its worst. The cane I use when I need I find I am using most often when I am too tired to walk, as opposed to being in too much pain. I sleep whenever I have no obligation to be out of the house and tend to stay in bed through entire weekends and school vacations. My fibro fog is just terrible and making getting anything productive done such a struggle. I'm starting to find the fatigue to be worse than the pain.
I know my mother is worried about me and I've tried to communicate that I'm in bed so often not for lack of wanting to get up, but because I'm just so exhausted all the time.
I guess I'd like some advice as to if this is just fibro fatigue getting worse, or if it seems I could also have cfs?
