Do ppl with CFS have the insomia/trouble sleeping as ppl do with fibromyalgia?

My Doctor think I fall somewhere in between CFS and Fibro. I have alot of symptoms of both, the aches, etc, but I do not have trouble sleeping, I just can't ever get enough sleep. Any ideas?

Judy, like madoryko said, there can be a lot of overlapping symptoms between the two illnesses. This is just my two cents worth and I am not a doctor, but I disagree with docs who think that CFS and fibro are the same symdrome. CFS has it's own unique symptoms as does fibro. For instance I don't think that people with fibro usually have ongoing low grade fevers and swollen glands. I really hope these two illnesses do not end up getting lumped together. That being said, there are peple who have both CFS and fibro. I'm trying to remember back to when I had CFS without any of the lupus stuff and I think I remember the sleep issue as you described it. I think I slept okay, I just felt like I could never get enough sleep. No matter how much I slept and rested I felt like I needed more. Now with lupus, I have to use meds (neurontin & amitriptyline) to help me sleep. Judy, I hope the doc is able to sort things out for you. Take care
