Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome is a real beast and it can affect both men & women by different vectors. Lyme is one, many other types of infections are among the others. Endometriosis is also another common trigger. So is reproductive/hernia/groin/pelvic surgery in men & women. Unfortunately the treatments are few & far between in terms of safe & effective options.

I can suggest several anti-inflammatory herbs/supplements including turmeric, bromelain, ginger, cayenne, etc....and Yoga can also help a lot. But ultimately, you should also consider serious pain control. The longer you want the further "behind the curve" you'll be with regard to treating your pain....
