After about 6 months of batteling chronic fatigue and having doctor after doctor tell my husband that there was nothing they could do for him, we were referred to a nurse practitioner who specializes in chronic fatigue. She gave him the most through exam that he had had in a while and told him "We can fix you." (I think that having a positive attitude is half the battle) Hearing that really lifted his spirits. She put him on about 9 different herbs and vitamins and said that she would gradually wean him down after a while and also restricted his diet (even more than it had been - I didn't think that this was possible) for the first 3 months. She also told him that he needed to get more exercise (he is not overweight - Before his crohn's hit in June '03 he was 160, now after surgery, he is 130)
Yesterday was his first full day on the new protocal. He was already starting to feel better and I could tell a huge difference! He only took a 2 hr nap in the afternoon instead of sleeping all day. As he puts it "I felt like (at supper time) it was about 6 at night after a full day of work" - compared to "I feel like it's about 3 in the morning at 6 pm and no work." God does answer prayers - in his own time, the best time. Hang in there and pray a lot. He WILL hear you! Hang in there!
