FDA just approved a new stimulator

Hell everyone. I just from the FDA site they just approved MedTronics new stimulator for back & leg pain. Apparently the new one allows the patient to be able to control the stimulation up and down the leg. They claim with the models prior to this you had to go to the drs office and have this increase done by him. I hope I have that right now reading. Hopefully the ones that have them will know what I am talking about. Better yet, go to the fda site and read about it.

Hey Susie,

Sounds like the one that I have. It has three leads with each containing multiple conductors. I've had problems with the leads slipping twice now and will be having another surgery in March to have a surgical paddle lead put in by a surgeon in Augusta, Georgia. Once programmed I can control almost every aspect of the stimulation such as band width, frequency, and amplitude. The number of programs and programs within programs that can be set up is amazing. I am going to give mine this one last shot to work. If I just lied around and did nothing the leads would probably be fine but I refuse to do that.
