Herniated Disc (cervical) and headaches?

I have a herniated disc (C5-C6)---and two bulging discs (C3-C5).....

anyway-

By the end of the day, I get these serious headaches---seems to be on the right side of my head (around ear, across forehead, behind eyes)...... 

Also, my artery there seems to be pounding all of the time?

is this common with a cervical disc herniation? 

Anyone else experience this?

MD gave me some Diclofenac (75 mg) for inflammation--but, sometimes I think that stuff makes the pounding worse?

I had herniated C5-6 with bone spurs (osteophytes) and don't remember headaches. Of course, I always have had migraines....however, I didn't have the other C3-5 problem you do. Maybe you could call the nurse and ask her? Sorry I wasn't much help.
