cookie122, thanks for the positive input. I'm not sure when my surgery will be rescheduled for. A respiratory infection kept me from the original date. I will see my pc dr tomorrow to see if I am free from any infections, from there it is back to the pm dr to fit me in.

And yes, I agree that the technology has much improved. The trial implant will be on an outpatient basis and I will be awake throughout the entire procedure. The permanent one is done in surgical unit and I will be put to sleep. I think I will probably get come home after that one too. Hopefully it as noninvasive as possible. I do remember my neighbor saying she had more pain than she had expected, but she wouln't give her's up for anything now.

If she can do it, so can I!

Hey cookie! My pc dr gives me a clean bill of health and now I'll wait till next week to get me back on schedule for the surgery!!!

More good new!! I have now been smoke-free for one whole week!!

cookie, I am so sorry you are having such a lowsy day. Sounds like an under the covers day. And I sure hope you don't have to wait till the 21st to get some relief.

Paul4, thanks for your input. I have not had a stroke; maybe that is the reason they chose the DBs for you. I have been informed of the pros & cons of the SCS (from my Drs & this forum) and it seems a appropriate for my condition.
