Hi kara!
Glad to hear the move went well. If you did a lot of moving, hauling and arranging the apartment I'm not surprised you would have some pain. You may have pulled muscles or over-used them and they're not happy about
it. Try lots of warmth and see if you can get those muscles to relax. That may help the spasms. If it won't stop in a day or the pain builds then get yourself to the doc and see what's going on.
Hugs,

Hi, Kara,
I definitely agree with Chutz. I can't even move small things around the house without stirring things up. So if it doesn't stop soon, see your doc. Maybe you'll need some more physical therapy and/or a good massage. I think I remember traction was helping you, but I'm not sure.
Take care now that you've overused those muscles!

Kara - Chutzie and PaLady are right... moving is SOOO bad for us! I'm not even supposed to lift a gallon of milk... moving, even if you didn't pick anything up can be very hard on your body. All the packing, moving, pushing, pulling and everything can give muscles in your body more of a workout than ever. You could try heat or ice to calm down the muscles. Or try ice to numb the pain and heat to relax it away. A good hot bath or massage might help to. If you can take NSAID's they might help (aleeve, motrin...) you've got your back probably pretty pissed off and it's going to take playing nice with it for awhile to get it calmed down.
As they said if it doesn't feel better soon talk to your doc about
it, just to make sure you've haven't ticked it off too bad.

Hi Kara, I have that issue too. I have an obliterated disk at L4 which has caused nerves to pinch. When I move in a certain way, I get shooting pain through my hips. My pain doc says that this is exactly what I should be experiencing with my diagnosis. If you have not been diagnosed yet with any sort of disc problems, then I really hope that you can find a doctor to give you an exact diagnosis and treatment. Good Luck@!
