Is financial difficulty considered non-compliance?

I was breezing through and saw you had a post without a response. I truely understand how you feel. That is an awful lot of money to be put up front without any guarantees and you mentioned they didn't check your cervical and lumbar spine, which maybe I am not familiar with your circumstances, but it just sounds odd. They may be fine, but I always feel uncomfortable when places of business want the money upfront.

I have had quite a few epidurals and nerve blocks and never got relief but I have heard of others who have and even someone that had it done and his pain was gone for good!! Imagine that!

I am sorry I can't offer you much on this, maybe others can. I know that they didn't help me but I have heard that others found relief for different periods of time and one person said it took the pain away. I know when you are in pain, you want to try anything to get relief. I truely wish you well and hope you do get relief somehow.

I don't think that they can consider that non compliance. They can offer you a steroid dose pack in lieu of the injections. That's what they did with me before I had any injections.

I only did go through with two and all they did was make things worse. 

My understanding is that they tend to be more helpful when they are given within three months of onset of symptoms. After that, they tend not to be so helpful.

The majority of Doctors know of somewhere to get that deductable lowered or another Doc willing to do it Pro-bono for the tax right off and then your only responsible for the use of the outpatient center or office that you use.

If he wants you to have them bad enough he will assist you in getting around the deductable.

In my experience I have found to be like everyone else,either it works or it doesnt or it does but not for long or not immediately and yes I know of a few who have gotten an increase in their pain.

Unfortunately I have seen more failures then success with injections and especially after any amount of given time since the symptoms began.

You might want to not go in there and say "hey Doc I am not having those injections you wanted since I heard they dont work!" It might be better to tell him you would be glad to have them if only you had anywhere to get that kind of money up front.

Like already said it depends on the Doc and maybe even the mood he is on that day as to whether he see's it as noncompliance by refusal to cooperate with his treatment plan or simply that you really cannot afford a treatment with those costs at this time.
