Ace,

You posted to me yesterday that you were in trouble, please reply. Maybe there is someone here who can help you!!! If I remember you were on a long drawn out workman's comp case where your lawer was no good and you were waiting to see the judge and out of money, married w/ a family?? I'm sorry I don't remember everything and that I didn't post sooner!!! Please respond, maybe there is something you can do that you didn't think of? Maybe w/ the deep amount of experiance we have here some one can think of something that you haven't tried yet????? This is a helping plaace and everytime I need help> Bam someone is there for me so please write back!! I wrote you back under my post from yesterday but I thought maybe it would be better to throw your name to the top where it's easier to see. Write back Brother, thats why we are here!!!!

Ace, I saw your post on mine! I just answered it there with a long letter and eraced it by accident>GGGGGRRRRR!!! I hate that! These Big fat dumb fingers of mine! Anyway, what I basicly told you is you just can't lay there and give up! You, Me, Us have to find someone willing to help the small guy! There has to be someone willing to help someone like you who has been tied up by "the system's red tape" We have to find them. I'll help w/ anything I can, phone calls, research> anything we can think of! My home E-mail adress is behind my profile and I'm home from work again today. Just say so, I'll call you and we can figure something out! Others here will help too! There are some good folks here who are increadable at researching stuff! But if you don't try, you are going to wish with all your heart that you had once those withdrawls start!
Something happened to me a little over 5 years ago which wasn't nearly as serious as your problem but simmilar. Please bear with me on this.
about 5 & 3/4 years ago when I found out I had prostate cancer I also found out my identity had been stollen! I was getting calls from credit card companies asking if I had recieved my CC yet and had I bought this thing or that thing? NO! Then internet companies and other stores started calling from all over the country! I didn't know what to do!!! I started callin> the local police> No help> sheriffs dept. No help, State Police> No help> States attory> No help, Congressman's office> No help, Senator's> No help, FBI> No help, CIA> No help, The G.D. President's Office> NO HELP!!!! I was discusted, how could this be? A good friend said so what are you going to do, Give Up??? I don't know what else to do?? Call, call, and call more!!! He was right! I kept calling offices, people, depts. everyone over and over! Then I started calling any policemen I could find names of and asked what would they do if they were me? One said> Call a detectives. I finally found one who said he would make some phone calls! Then I got a phone call, a guy in Tampa was trying to buy a Condo w/ my ID! I called my detective who called a friend of his in Tampa. He paid this guy a visit and his name was identical as mine although he had a criminal record a mile long! He was taken in and ratted on a girl who worked for Quest Diognostic who got all my ID info from my Freaking cancerous prostate biopsy at thir lab!!!!! Geeze, nothing like kicking you when your down! This Pete guy wore a wire and went to see this chick, she got arrested and he got out on bail for cooperating. Then he skipped town and for 5 years I had to keep an affodavid with me at all times proving that I am me and not this other Pete S. who had a warrant! They finally caught him last Fall and I got a letter from the States Attorny saying Dear Mr. Pete S. we have Pete S. in custody and you no longer have to carry the paper work around w/ you! It's framed on the wall of my office! Anyway, sorry for the long boaring story but had I given up, these scumbags would probably still out there ripping off otheras as well as me! Let me know if you want help Bro???

 I did what you did, I worked untill I could no longer work! When a light duty job would open, I would ask for it and get turned down! The place where I worked wanted me gone!! They were looking for any reason to get me out of there hair!! With our contract (no union) it states that with out any notice, you can be dismissed at anytime! It also stated that, you were to do any and everything you were told. I did a lot of things that were not in my job description, but I could not refuse, or it was by, by time! In my case, it is a fight every minute. I had a Disc O gram done 4 years ago, they lay you on your stomach, no pain meds what so ever, they put 3 - 8" needles in my back and 2 - 5"neddles. I had been in so much pain for so long, and never missing work, I made them hold me down, because I knew any more pain and I would be jumping, 3 out of the 5, KILLED ME, I heard him tell the nurses see the dye leaking out, on 3 of them, on the other 2  there wasn't much pain a tall. My Doctor, who I thought was a friend, got it in his head that if he wasn't treating me, he wouldn't have to waste his time in court! A person doesn't need many friends like that!! It took the second work comp 11 months to get me my first penny, I was forced to sell my totaly restored 1986 Indy Pace Car Corvette Convertable, I lost $3000.00 not counting my time, but I needed the money bad! I have nothing left, no money, nothing left to sale, if i go to the ER, I have to pay for that, and since he isn't a W.C. approved, the patches are $200.00!! And who is to say, the next Doctor will let me have them??  Pete this sounds bad, but I have no life, even with the pain patches I am still in pain, when I was on the 100mg's I had 2 out of 3 days that wasn't bad, but my wife, my Dad, My Son, My Brother, all set me down and told me I had a real problem, so i had it cut back to 75mg, and I wasn't nuts anymore but still in pain and no life! All meds warn you off side affects, but these patches says in Bold letter , Do not stop taking for any reason, there have been a few cases of death! My wife has been instructed to sue all of them big time if I die, at least I would no longer be in pain! i have a very beautifull wife, that I cannot even make love to!!

Pete I thank you for your concern, but you have a lot on your plate, and take care of yourself! i have had a good life up untill Oct.2006, and no life after that!

Ace and Pete,
I hope you don't mind my reading this thread. I feel so for you, Ace, and understand what it's like to be losing everything. Stick with us at least for support, though. I think there are people who have gone before us who can help light the way, and others behind us, and this site gives us a way to all hold hands so we're not going it alone.

Pete - the identity theft. Wow. I had a friend who went through it and she said it took years to get it straight. Thing is I fear so many of us will because so much of our information is so easy to access anymore. And with medical records getting more and more computerized, I think it will get even worse. We forget how many people see that information pass through their hands and eyes and not all are going to be on the up and up. And as people get desperate they do desperate things. I'm not sure how I'd manage if that happened to me now on top of everything else!

 I can't speal for Pete, but I am sure he feels like me, I am very great full for your thoughts! Things have changed so much in the last 15 years, that we don't have any rights! I was informed, that we will be going back to a hearning next month! I am my attroney, how does that help me know! As most of us have talked, they don't care about us!! It is the money game, the more my attroney goes to hearning the expense's he can bill  me for it at the end! On the other side, they don't want to pay out 1 penny more than they have to. I never wanted a dime, I wanted fixed, every doctor I went to, I explained to my best to the doctors I have went to see, how I felt and were, and when. But it is all up hill!
