Wanted to introduce myself

This is my first post so bear with me.  I'm 52 yrs. old and still working part time (it's getting more difficult all the time to work though).  I've been diagnosed with ddd, osteo, fibromyalgia and have had chronic pain for about 9 yrs.  Can't keep track of all the drs/specialists I've seen and how many times they have shot me up in various parts of my body.  I have had fusion surgery on L-4/5 & C-5/7.  Today I'm having another MRI w/contrast on my lumbar spine cause rhuemy can't make it feel better.

Anyway, I've been checking out this website for some time now and finally decided it's time to join in the discussion.   I do have more questions but don't want to make this post too long.  Thanks for all the information you've given while I was in the silent mode.

Wecome to the Forum you have definitely came to the right place! But I am sorry that you have reasons to even have to be here! With that said though, since you said you have been checking out this website for sometime now, you must know that we have a great group of very caring and compassionate people here, that are more than willing to listen and help and support you! A hearty welcome to our site. I think you will enjoy. It's always nice to be able to have people to vent your frusgtrations to and who understand what you might be going through. It's nice to know that we all here care for one another. Glad you have come aboard and wishing you lots of luck and good health.

Thanks so much for the welcome. Got my MRI and xray done this morning, will have results when I see my ortho surgeon on Friday. Let you know the results then.

I also want to add my welcome to you. And as White Beard said, since you've been reading awhile you probably know how all this works. This is the greatest support system I've found and I don't know how I'd be surviving without it.

I'm so glad you decided to post. Feel free to jump in anywhere, and let us know more about yourself, or share your experiences. I really could relate to what you said about not being able to keep things straight anymore! Everytime I go to a new doctor now, I have to say I THINK I've got it all down, but honestly, I don't know anymore. Used to be able to keep it straight, but even with the computer I'm behind!

Hello! wanted to says welcome, but sure wish it was under better circumstances..cause chronic pain has a lot of
stuff that comes along with it, such as depression, ect...but there are a whole lot of good folks here..
Good Luck on your mri results and post when you get some info..

Bsjaguar, Along with the others, welcome. It sounds like you joined us but now are adding you comments to ours. It is unfortuante that you have the qualifications (CP) as the price is expensive in terms of pain, lost sleep, limited abilities, unfulfilled dreams, ok I'll stop as I don't want to depress you. This is a great place to find encouragement, hope, insight and great information. As PAlady stated, join in on the discussions and wse look forward to hearing more from you. Blessings!

Bsjaguar, I want to welcome you to the forum. I am glad you decided to introduce yourself to us and join in. I am sorry that you are having a reason to be here,but glad you found us. I remember when I stumbled upon it one day. I never knew anything about this site. I was sooo glad when I did. It has been such a huge help and inspiration to me. I do think you will enjoy it here. It is such a wonderful family full of hope, encouragement, compassion, and tons of endless support. Post as often as you want to. And I do hope that you become as satisfied as I have been being a part of this wonderful group of people.

I also want to welcome you to HW. If you've been reading for a while, then you certainly know how wonderful this site is! Everyone is so compassionate & caring, we're like a family; I'm glad you finally decided to join us! I hope the MRI provides you with the information you're looking for! I know all to well how frustrating it is not to know the definitive reason behind your continued pain!
