To all our Family here on this Chronic Pain Forum, our dear friend Chutz and her family , has had to have their Golden Retriever "Chutney" put down yesterday because of old age and illness. Now as everyone that has ever had a pet knows, this is a very difficult thing to have to do! Pets such as Dogs and Cats and just all pets in general, become members of your family, and they are loved and when they become sick you take care of them! You do what is best for them reguardless of the cost, whether it be monetary, or emotional,  or what ever the sacrifice is!.  So please let us give Chutzie and her family all  our Love and Support during their time of grief and loss of their beloved Family Member " Chutney" their Golden Retriever!

Chutzie I wish you and your family all the best, I know  first hand, how hard it is to lose a pet like that! I will keep you and your family in my Prayers!

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Oh Chutz!!!

I am so sorry!  The passing of a beloved pet is so very painful.  Please know we are all thinking of you.  I pray you find joy and peace in your memories of Chutney.  I saw your pictures of your dog.  Chutney looked very sweet!

i am 61 and have loved animals my whole life, have had them just like another child, cared for them, loved them and also had to say good bye more often than i wanted to. it was always hard to kiss them one last time......i cant continue.......i have a 6 yr old black lab now - love her with all my heart just as you did chutzy. please know my prayers are with you and your family..its hard to get over and we never do. but just think of all the great times you had together........love

You know I understand how much a pet means to each of us. I will just send love and hugs as you say your farewell to your dear friend and family member.

Chutzie,

I am so sorry for your loss! I'm sure that Chutney loved you very, very much! I can't imagine that she lead anything other than a WONDERFUL life, living with you! I'm sure she is still watching over you! I know how hard this is. You & your family are in my thoughts & prayers! ((((((((((Chutz))))))))))))

hello. i want you to know how very sorry i am to hear about your beloved pet dying. we have had some pets die that we dearly loved. i know how difficult it is and i will be thinking of you and your family.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. It's still hard to talk about without the tears. She was loved by so many in and family and the community. Many people were touched by her love and the house is empty without her.

Chutz, so very sorry on the loss of your pet, sometimes this type of loss can be
just as hard as that of a human, and the hurt your feeling. well, I'm just sorry!

Dear Chutzie,

My heart and condolences go out to you and your family!  All of us who have animals and love them as you loved Chutney understand the pain your are feeling!

I saw your dogs picture and it is a lovely dog. Sorry to hear of your lose. Cry your eyes out and don't let anyone tell you it was just an animal.

I am so sorry, Chutz. I know the pain and it stinks (to put it mildly). There are so many compassionate people here on this forum and we all seem to understand that a pet is not "just" a pet - they are members of our family. Thinking of you......

Dear Chutzie,

So sorry about your loss. I have two big boys now. I lost my Max four years ago and sometimes you never quite get over losing a pet, but they live on in your memory. I pray for you and your family. God bless.

Chutz, I'm so sorry to hear about Chutney.  It is so difficult.  Pets are definitely an extension of our family and we love them intensely.  I'm glad she shared her love with your family for all of those years.  You and your family are in my prayers.

Chutz, I know that the loss is a big one and that words alone cannot take away the emptiness that seems to be there with such a friend/member of the family is no longer with us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
