I decided to start a new thread before the other one gets too long. I saw the ortho and got the MRI results. The radiologist didn't bother to stage this avascular necrosis. That is one of the reasons for doing the MRI in the first place......
Anyway, he just confirmed that it is there and that there is some kind of hole in /tear in the cartilage near the wrist joint as well, a bone bruise on the radius bone, and another bone is eroding... Not good news, in any aspect and I got a referral to a hand surgeon......and a brand new purple cast from my fingers to my elbow. He said that the bone with the necrosis hasn't collapsed as of yet, but it looks like it will soon, and there are bone fragments from the other bones that either chipped or something so I got this cast.
I can't imagine trying to cook this Thursday but I will, because I always do and I will let my kids write all over the cast....at least they will find it fun....
Thank you all for the good wishes on the other thread.....
