Today would have been my mom's birthday. She passed away 5 yrs ago from alzheimers. The pastor had asked us kids before the funeral if we wanted to write something down about
mom for her to say at the funeral, there was just too much to say so I wrote this poem. It was odd cause I'm not really poetic at all but this just went down on paper in about
5 minutes and in remembrance of her I'd like to share it with all my HW friends:
The road she traveled was long,
eventually a mist darkened the way.
She never cried or feared the end
because love had followed her there.
No regrets, only peace of mind,
her life had been so full.
The love of a man that put no one before her,
and a family that made her whole.
