Hi just a short update .I finally arrived home after being away for a week .I saw my gp here today and he is not satisfied with how the injections went he wants them repeated again so not i`m booked in next wednesday to have them again what a week this will be .I`m heading off tomorrow down to have the mass removed on Friday and then the injections on wednesday i really hope this will be the end of it all .There is only just so much i can take .and this much pain isn`t one of them .willl let you know how things turn out if and when i`m able .
Thanks to all for the advise and help given to me it is greatly appreciated .

I do worry about you, I will say some extra prayers for you! You have been through so much already and yet you have so much more ahead of you! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, my heart goes out to you snowflake, I do hope everything goes well for YOU!

Thanks for updating us. It's almost too much to ask of you to have to go back next Wednesday with all you've been and are going through. I can understand that sometimes you may just need to say "STOP!" to some of the procedures (especially the ones that aren't working) and at least take a break for a bit from all the doctors. I know that doesn't solve the pain and other problems. I think that a day at a spa should be part of your medical treatment - and paid for by your insurance - but that's my opinion and won't go too far with a health insurance company.

We'll be thinking of you...and hoping some things start to go your way, and you can at least find some relief from the pain.

Latest update sorry it has taken so long but so much has gone on .Surgery was a lot more complicated and ended up in surgery for a lot longer than the dr imagined the mass was connected to many organs and it took a bit to remove he has most of it and is pleased with the surgery .Afet the surgery pain was a concern and ended up having to be taken back to recovery for more pain relief and monitering .Finally was able to get out of hospital and none too soon no one can rest nor recover with so much going on . I spent a few days recovering before i went today and had an epidural and the next round of njections in my spine this time the dr was great and knew what to do .They became concerned as i had a bit of a utrn during the injections and ended up having to stay there for three hours until they though it was ok for me to go . i went back to where i was staying and have had a good sleep unfortunately the epidural has fully worn off and the pain set in but over the next few days they are hoping it will settle . the dr who did the injecting said i would be lucky if i get a months relief as things are so bad .Not sure i can continue going through this every month but i suppose as long as the pain subsides it will be worth it . Any way i`m off to bed we are headibg back home tomorrow and seeing we have to stop every half hour it`s going to be a very long trip home .Will update again when i`m feeling a bit better .

  Hey Snowflake! Glad to hear that your doing better. I'm sorry that I have not kept up with you, and it sounds like you had to travel for your surgery, and treatments. Is that right? You take care, and we will be waiting for another update from you when you get back..from wince ever you came from :)

Thanks for posting the update. I'm glad at least the surgery seems to have gone well, and I hope your drive home isn't too stressful for you.

You've been through so, so much. You have so much fortitude and courage, although those traits don't always help your pain.

I hope you continue to find some relief over time.

We arrived home ok the trip was a bit slow as we had to make many stops .nothing nicer than being at home too bad my son was not a bit tidier .but i just can`t do anything for a week then gradually get back into things .The injection so far has given me some relief they did tell me it will become painful then ease off heres hoping they are right ..Well must not sit in one position for too long will drop in at a later time .thanks to all
Michael yes i have had rather long trips over the past month the first for spinal injections theat were not done right then the followning week for surgery to have an abdominal mass removed along with the ovaries then yesterday the spinal injections were repeated so it`s been a lot going on .Now it`s time to relax and let everything heal for a few weeks before i am off again to see my oncologist .Mind you the closest place i travel to is 600 km so there is a lot of travelling involved in no matter what i do or who i see . Most of this i do on my own but this time my hubby came with me he was just so bored with just sitting around while i was either being dosed up on strong pain killers or sitting watching tv just having to wait for me ...understandable why he opts out on coming along to my drs visits .

I'm glad you're home and that you're planning on relaxing and healing for a few weeks. Now that sounds like a good plan - needed, and well-deserved!

SnowFlak, we are all happy to see that you made it home safely. I bet you are ready for some much needed rest now! My spouse usually goes with me for my appointments, because i would never find the places if she didn't :) She has been a wonderful supporter of mine. She too, has to set for long periods of time, such as your husband, but she does not mind...and really she is a better listener than I am.

I can't seem to remember what part of the country you are in, but I'm a guessing your not in the US, since you used the term 600 KM. Am I right about that? Are you in a different country that the US? Also, do you have to drive back to the place that did your surgery for the follow up? That would be very tiring to say the least. I'm headed to bed, but wanted to wish you a fast recovery here. Take care, and please keep us updated on your condition when you can.

Hi Michael definately not in US i`m an AUSSIE and i live in a remote part of n.s.w so no matter where we want to go we have to travel in the past year or so it`s well over 25,000 km so far just to recieve treatment and for follow ups . My next trip away will be monday and that will be around 700km round trip then i`m hoping no more trips until the end of march when the next 1,400 round trip to see my oncologist but you can never tell what will crop up before then surely something will come along given my track record .

Well here it is three weeks since my surgery and the last lot of injections .I would dearly love to say life is and has been a bed of roses .but thats only dreaming .
I spnd a day washing and folding the clothes not a good thing .Then after seeing my local gp i had a bladder infection which he said was common part of my type of surgery .I then spoke to my surgeon on the pohone he has given me orders not to do anything for six weeks ( too bad he forgot to mention that when i was in hospital ) and definately no lifting at all .Sure sitting here has been a bed of roses ( not ) I am just so tired there is something not right and the dr yesterday prescribed more medication to help relieve some of the discomfort and other symptoms i am experiencing .I just hope it starts to work soon . Am off to see the surgeon on the 15th and then on to see the oncologist on the 17th so another big trip away .in a way i`m looking forward to getting out of home for a while things here starting to bug me way too much .

I'm glad you posted an update. I saw you post on another thread and was about to track this thread down when I saw you had posted.

Well, the bed of roses might be a bit much to expect, but some relief isn't! I sure hope you find some - and soon!

Dear Snowflake I'm so sorry to hear about the challenges you are facing , they seem to be too much for anyone to bear , I feel this way at times too .The courage your showing is incredible in the face of this adversity and I just wanted to offer my support to you ,it seems things are stacking up on you right now , please hang in there , my prayers are with you .

Snowflake please do follow the doctors orders and just rest. I know your probably feeling a little stir crazy being in the house but there's not much you can do about it for now. Is it nice enough there that you can sit outside, the sun may do you some good.

This week i had my check ups with the gynocologist and oncologist . Things are much the same having the surgery has not removed the abdominal pain the past few days it has been getting gradually worse .The gynocologist told me that even having the surgery was not a sure thing that the pain was from the mass .But since then have found out my iron levels are extreemly low that i have to go into hospital to have an iron infusion iv so the possability is i`m bleeding in the bowel so have to arrange more tests.
I have so many problems and they just seem to be adding up now i have seven different medications to take along with the pile of the ones i`m already on .
Today i took morphine only to have it make me so sick tonight .Not a good thing seeing i have a four hour drive tomorrow and all i want to do is sleep but i`m having so many problems waking up so many times throught he night that i wake up feeling just so drained .
Fridaay i head home and then into hospital on tuesday .

I continue to keep you in my prayers! Thanks for the up-date, I am sure others appreciate it as much as I do, I often wonder how you are doing! I sure wish that there was more that I could do, I know this is such a trying time for you!

I can't imagine how hard this must be to continue to go through so much. I wish I could do more, but I do think of you and wish you all the healing in the world!
