how was your day?

Hello every one, I hope you had a good day as much possable.I went to see my surgeon to day I my herina repair is ok. Just scar tissue and fluid build up. Then went to see my urologist and he is setting up my surgey with him for my inconntence problem.

Then we had lunch at the park. It was hot but a good day. I ws in pain but not as bad as I was doing for the last week.

So how was your day?

I hada hard day as well. I think I was having withdrawls because i havent taken my usual doses of pain meds because I had not been in pain. So thta uis kind of weird!

my son had been acting up really bad so I kepy him home from school and so I had no time to myslef at all.

Suzane - I'm so sorry, friend, that you had a bad day :( Your post almost brought me to tears, because I feel your pain. I'm going to write you a longer e-mail later.... for now, though, I'm praying for you and hope you can sleep peacefully tonight. Your card made me cry today, too! But happy tears. I really appreciate your thoughts and encouragement. I admire you, Suzane, that despite suffering day-after-day, you still find time and the effort to reach out to others. It shows your heart and your character. There are several things I think about doing and have the heart to do - but just don't get around to doing it. Point is - the cards I've received from you mean so very much to me. Thank you for thinking of me...

Merrygirl - Yep, here's to a better tomorrow :) I'm sorry you had a rough, hectic day. Did you take your meds and feel better? How old is your son? Ahhhh, the ups and downs of parenting. I'm in the midst of it - so I get it completely. The boys are relatively good kids - but there are still issues that make me literally want to pull my hair out. Anyway, hang in there - and like you said - tomorrow's another day! (I tell myself this on a DAILY basis, LOL) :)

I hear ya the heat!!!!I live a few minutes from hood canal and the temps have been brutal. Today I just cried over my flowers. I had babied them along and the bugonias(sp?)where so beautiful,I had red and white and yellow and peach not to mention pots of impatians and petunias, all wilted beyond saving. And its my birthday dang it and I cant sleep cause its too hot. And Im going to have 50 year old bags under my eyes in the morning waaaaaa lol. We decided to put the AC downstairs since we spend the most time there but its hot then a you know what upstairs. And of course my hubby has decided he wants to sleep on the sofa where its cool down there cause I am up all hours of the night. So thats how my night is going so far. But thanks for asking I havent got to meet you so welcome to HW. I hope you stay awhile. Everyone is so nice here and we really are just one great big family. So sorry to hear your having a bad night Suzane. Your such a doll and I wish I could take your pain away. And Chutz, its tough when a kid has a bad day for everyone. I hope he has a better day next time. Tina, I bet you could win alot if you ever got on a trivia show!! You never know??? lol. Merrygirl so sorry you are having a bad day but ya know you could be right. I have had a low pain day before and took alot less meds and ended feeling bad.

Hi Everyone,

I've just come off a week of feeling pretty good overall. Saw my doctor yesterday, tweaked my meds a bit (upping the dose of Cesamet), but overall, things seem to be working for me in keeping my pain around a 3-4. I've lost a few more pounds, so I'm now at 38 pounds lost since October last year. I have 15 to go to hit my target of 130lbs (I'm 5'2"). My doctor noted my blood sugars have been a little bit high for the last few months, but said we'll just keep an eye on it and not do anything at the moment. She also said my cholesteral is a bit high, but again, we'll just watch it.

So, overall, it was a good visit. We've also confirmed the Orthopedic surgeon now has all the paperwork necessary to set up an appointment so we'll see what happens. This surgeon apparently triages his own cases, picking the ones he wants to work on in the order he wants. I have no idea how long I might have to wait to see him, but at least he has my info now for sure!!

My hubby and I are flying to Winnipeg, Manitoba this afternoon (from Calgary) for the wedding of two dear friends tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the fun, but not the travel so much. At least I have lots of room in the seats...we booked the emergency exit for my hubby so he can have some leg room (he's 6'5"). It's supposed to be quite hot this weekend where we'll be...I may have to put antiperspirant on my entire body like lotion, so I don't melt!

Anyways, I hope everyone here has a great weekend, with as little pain as possible. I say a prayer over this whole forum every night and every morning...so I really hope everyone is doing as well as possible.

Hi Pam, glad to hear that you are having some ok days and congrats on the weight! I am just shocked at the weight I have gained! I don't even eat in a way that I should be gaining weight! I should be loosing....and that really stinks when you go without the yummy stuff and still get fat!!! Darn it! I hope you enjoy the wedding and sending low pain wishes your way!

Butterflyrose....thanks for posting this, and sorry I just kind of jumped in and did some quick hellos! Unfortunately....I am miserable and have not been on to talk much here lately! Still waiting to see the rheumy, still on steroids, increased my pain meds and still feel awful! In bed more then I am out of bed! Anyway.....take care!
