So I went to the PM apt. I am so happy!! He decided to keep me on the meds that are working!

yeah   yeah yeah yeah yeah

He also wants me to start seeing a pssycharist for my depression and another Dr for my newest blatter & bowel issues... But thats OK!

I am just SO relieved!!

Glad to hear your appointment went well! You have to love it when doctors work WITH you, instead of against you. Hope you start feeling better soon and good luck with the new doctors you'll be seeing.

     That is fantastic news! Thank you so much for stopping by to give us an update. I know you were very worried that he would want to change things. So, I am relieved you were able to stick with all your medicines.

 

      The psychiatrist referral could be a very good thing! It is awesome that he recognizes physical and mental wellness. It sounds like this one is a keeper for sure!

I'm so happy they are working with you.

I just had the bladder test for incontinence done this morning and, although uncomfortable, it really wasn't as bad as I expected. I have the pre-op tomorrow and the surgery on Tuesday. Needless to say they found the leakage. This test is done to determine the exact placement of the "mesh tape" they are going to be using. I'm not completely sure I understand it all, but the nurse doing the test today had it done a few years ago by the same Dr. She says, despite numerous complications when she had it done....like way more wrong than they expected to find), she would have it done in a second. Her's was worse because they had to do a bowel repair, a hysterectomy, and a bladder tack all at the same time.

I'll keep you posted on how everything goes. I also have bowel issues and they are NOT treating that because the problems developed after my surgery on my back. The OBGYN doing the bladder surgery does not beleive the other problem can be fixed as easily and can't even assure that surgery would help even a little bit.

Sno, I so understand the fear you went through, and I am very glad that fear has passed and it worked out for you.

I think for a lot of us, its rare to find something that actually works, and then when we do it just seems to good to be true. That we can have relief for 6, 12, 24 hours, ect. I think a sucessful follow-up visit is a huge relief, and its a big step in forging a working relationship. That is exactly what a PC, Phyc, or PM doctor-patient relationship should be - WORKING :) That means the doctor is addressing your needs and you in turn are getting to address your needs in a professional and comfortable working environment. Being a doctor is a business but like a government worker, its also in a sense a public service (atleast in my opinion, hehe)
