Come join the Koffee Klatch virtual Baby Shower for Tina!!

Well, as Chutz indicated, I'm at the party early to organize and set up. I am so happy to hear that Pebble's lives with a pastry chef...that diaper cake looks fantastic!!

I brought my famous chocolate lava cookies for the dessert buffet...and I bet there will be a ton of other delicious goodies as well. I'll have to pace myself...no sense in eating too fast!

As for our gifts for Tina for the baby, I think we should present them to Tina as we post throughout the day. I have a feeling that if we wait to do it in the evening when we're all together, it might take her too long to open everything and she'll have the baby then and there!

So, my gift to your precious baby girls will be a handcrafted name plate that can go above their cribs, plus a cute dress for each of them. I love these dresses - they are mix and match pinafores in a pretty pattern of tiny rosebuds of pink, orange and red on a white background, with little white shirts with capped sleeves. I love the matching pink shoes that comes with the dresses.

Oh, this is going to be a great party!!! I'm going to go help Chutz with the balloons....see you all at the party!!

Oh, Oh! Yeah! Wwwhhhooopppeee!! It's Miss T's baby shower! I wouldn't miss this one for the world! Chutz, I was just test tasting...a little!! And I will make the other kind of "diaper cake"!! I have pictures to prove I'm pretty good at it!! Diapers rolled neatly one by one into a 3 tier "cake" frosted with all kinds of good baby stuff!! It's fun to make and even more fun to use...uhhh, no I don't think that's exactly true!!! But Tina gets to find out double-down time! She'll need all the diapers she can get!

I've begged Tina to wait until my birthday, but I've got the feeling that those girls are going to come when they get darn good and ready. Spunky, just like their Momma!

Oh my goodness, I'm running late. I almost burned the most amazing cheese crisps you have ever tasted. I guess I'm telling on myself for the little taste test, but these things are addictive....mmmmmm. I add a touch of red pepper to give them a little kick, so let the fun begin!

I'm bringing a set of matching cradles...the old-timey hand made kind that are on a stand and rock oh so slowly. I had them made up special. They are all white with carved baby roses around the curved top (to pull into the rose theme from Pam). I'm keeping them all wrapped in bubble paper and tied with a big pink bow so they won't get scratched. I've even packed in the matching paint and stencils to put the little ladies names on them when they come home.

For our new Mama, I'm bringing a book of tickets. Each ticket has a chore for one of the the boys to do while she is recovering. Along with the tickets will be the treat box and the art supplies so that they will get treats for their good behavior and then can quietly make special cards and drawings for Mama and the girls.

I never had a baby shower since I was laid up so long. Boy I wish you guys had been around then! We love you Tina!

 

     Oh My Lord!....we are never going to get there!....Both of the ladies have Bladders the size of a Nat!

Sorry I'm late, the joy of living on the other side of the world. But I'm bringing the chocolate brownies, they're a delightful baby poo colour!

Plus I remember playing a peg game when I was at a baby shower for my sister back in the late sixties, where you had to collect as many pegs off a line as possible using only one hand and holding on to the pegs in that hand at the same time> I remember being amazed at how many pegs some women could actually hold! That was back in the days of cloth diapers of course!

Best of luck Tina, get those pegs collected and your hands well practised, I'm sure it's a skill that will be useful for something when you're juggling twins!

Wow, what a party we have!!! I do have a confession to make.. It was Ms. Bunky who gave me the idea and I think it was an awesome one!!

Is there any of my Peanut Butter Cheesecake left? My mouth and stomach have both been drooling. I need a CHOCOLATE fix!..lol

I think we need to extend our party into Friday...what do you think. The guest of honor hasn't been here long and we still need to play some party games and open the gifts. SE...get OFF of that table. You may dance but no table dancing, especially with Privey. You might lose her other hip!

Cleaned up by midnight...sure! But I didn't say what day... So we'll continue tomorrow. Would be fun if those tiny Princesses would make an appearance. Anyone know how tho boil water and tear sheets?
