I wish they made a full body heating pad

I am SOOO sore and achy, my whole body hurts, my back, legs, hands, joints, muscles, everything. I don't understand what's going on. I have to get an appointment to see a rheumatologist for possible fibromyalgia. Just another day in the life of me.

I totally need a full body heating pad right now. My heated blanket helps, but I wish I had something the size of me and got hotter. That would so help me.

I was super sore as well, with that deep ache in my hips - it feels like they are being squeezed in a vice. I ended up taking Tramacet for the breakthrough pain, and soaked in the tub with epsom salts and some Bergamot oil dropped in. Super relaxing and it really helped. I don't feel quite as bad now.

Something you might want to think of is buying battery operated warm up socks .You put them on, turn on the heat and you're good. I find that if my feet are warm, the rest of me generally stays pretty warm.

They make a full body heating pad with massage (vibration) I've got one and it ain't bad $180.00 bucks , its good for soreness and relaxation even meditation !

Sometimes when I'm really bad, a bath will help. But, when it's that bad, I don't usually feel like actually getting into the tub.

I'm sorry you're having so much pain.

Mikel-I had no idea! I'm going to look into that.

Pam--heated socks? Going to buy some of those too lol!

Caligirl--totally forgot they existed!

Southviewgirl-I hope that you have a lower pain day today.

Dear South,

 

   I am so sorry you are in so much pain. I did want to tell you that the brand "Sunbeam" makes a whole array of heating pads. Mine is just over 2 feet long. It makes a world of difference when it can start at your tail bone and go all the way up to the base of your skull. It is nice for my hips as well because I can wrap it around my hips and back together. Just a thought.

 

   I do hope you get to feeling at least a little bit better!

I have two kinds. One that I can sit in the chair with heat and three massaging zones.
The other is just heat.
I do have a deep tissue massaging seat that runs rollers up and down my spine, but it hurts the tender spot on my spine. I don't use it right now. :(

hi southveiwgirl, a great thing is a very, very hot bath with different additives. epsom salts are excellent but the type things fro the health-food store combine epsom salts and dead-sea salts with borax and baking soda. a assortment of essential oils can not only give a benfit trhough aromatherapy but some will give you a feeling of deep warmth such as: cinnamon, ginger, hyssop, cardomman and many others. happy bathing.

I love my heating blankets and my heating pads too! Things are always worse when the weather changes and the humidity is high. My de-humidifier helps alot! I turn it on, cool the house and then lean back on the hot blankets or heating pads. It sounds like insanity to do both, but I get too hot if I don't do it this way and then I feel worse. Hot and humid...yuck!
