Hello Shannon1!
Just a very quick note here!
As you know, many of the PM's and PCD are being looked at by the goverment agenices, and this may remove many of the red flags that the authorities are looking for during aduits of their facilities. I would imagine, that if they provided proof, that they are checking their Pateint's on a random or regular basis, it might take some of the guess work out of the equation, and relieve the PM's or PCD's of such.
You should not have to worry about this, and in fact, it might be a plus in the long run, to know that your PM or PCD is up to snuff, and on the look out for fraudulent Pateint's.
We had a rotten PM in this area of which I live, and cost many a Pateint's a lot of heartache, when he got popped for misuse in perscribing pain meds. In the end some of his Pateint's lost their lives to this carelessness.
My PCD now requires me to sign a contract with him, and I have no problem in giving a urine sample to be tested.
You have recieved many good answers above....all of which are valid reasons in my opinion.
As long as you are taking your meds as perscribed, and not taking something illegal, you should have nothing to worry about.
Take care,
SE
