I got one of those nice letters last week saying that I have been awarded the privileged of turning my life upside down and inside out to potentially serve on a jury.
I sent the jury commission a letter saying that I suffer from numerous back problems along with a copy of the lastest diagnosis I received a few weeks ago from a spine specialist to prove what that indeed I have a totally screwed up back.
Well today (or yesterday I guess) I get in the mail a new letter from the jury selection board saying that I have to provide them with a letter from my doctor specifically stating that I have a screwed up back and that sitting for long periods of time can and does cause me severe pain.
So now I have to get my air headed PCP to write that letter. I am not sure which I am more worried about
. That she won't agree to write it or that she will agree and won't get it done in time to do me any good, as I need to have that letter in their hands a week from Friday.
I can understand the board wanting proof, but you would think the official summary from a doctor that says I have two herniated discs, stenosis, arthritis, and DDD that causes me moderate to severe pain would be good enough.
