chronic low abdominal pain for past 2years

           Hello All,

                           Iam 25yrs old female married with no kids..

                           I have been suffering with lower abdominal pain on both sides for the past 2 and half years..

 we went to CT scan,MRI scan and atleast more than 10 times ultrasound for my utreus and also LAPROSCOPY.

 Nothing has been found in any test.But iam suffering with lot of pain and it is increasing day by day severly.

 My symptoms are like pain is like menstrual cramps ,shooting pain.same pain is getting severe in periods.I was feeling i am getting periods every day.My periods became irregular after this started.Every minute iam suffering like this with severe back pain and from 3 months i was having irregular bleeding with that pain.If i do any kind of activity my pain is getting worse and i was seeing some bleeding after that activity.Doctors are saying that everything is finee.But i was feeling something happening in my utreus. God only can know my pain.I cant take this pain anymore.Every day i was taking some pain killers but they are not helping me these days.Some doctors they are telling that it was a muscular pain.After that i was going to physical therapy that was also not working but pain was increasing with that.Last month i had miscarry when i was 8 weeks old.In 8weeks pregnancy also i saw spooting and 3 days heavy bleeding.after that i went to doctor he told i had miscarry.Iam not understanding all this was related to pregnancy and miscarry.But doctor telling that it was not related.Iam not understanding anything whats going on.

please any one tell me what should i do and what was happening with me

please help me..

Sounds like it may be time to see a new doctor. I think an interologist would be the place to start. If you live anywhere near a medical school find out which hospital they teach at and see one of their doctors.

I agree with Jim, that it is time to see a new doctor. It sounds like what I went through. Each person is different and there are many thinigs that can cause the symptoms you are having. You may want to go to a specialist. At least to a doctor who will be more caring and willing to help you find a cause and treatment.

         I went to soo many doctors..Doctor now iam going was reproductive endocrinologist....

or should i see any other specialist other than him

  Gosh Luckbird , I'm really sorry your having so much trouble right now , I wanted to welcome you , you've come to the right place for support . I'm sure the ladies here will be able to offer some insight , please take care of you and try to stay positive . Mikel

Has anyone mention divuticulitis?
My mother has it and she says when it's flairing it feels like giving birth again.

Another though is endometriosis tissue on your other organs. Has anyone tested for this?

You have come to the right place for guidance and friendship.
I am glad you found us but sorry it is under these circumstances.
My first thought when i read your post was endometriosis.
But if you had a laparoscopy they should have seen if you had any? Let us know.
I sure hope they get to the bottom of this pain as it seems
like you are suffering quite a bit.
Maybe a new doctor like the other members mentioned.

Hi,
First of all I want to let you know I completely understand your frustration. I had endometrosis and ovarian cysts which caused my period to come 2 to 3 times per month ( I got it when I was eight years old) . I ended up getting sixteen surgeries all together. The first 9 were because I could not find a doctor to give me a hysterectomy until then. The pain never stopped except for a few months after sugery and that's all the doctors would reccomend at the time, other than hormone therepy they didn't give me any options. After the hysterectomy my cramping pain stopped but a whole new more severe pain replaced it. Adhesion pain! My bowel grew attached to my abdominal wall because of all the surgery. The last 7 surgeries I have had have been for adhesion removal. I cannot function normally now. I have uncontrolled bowel movements, vomiting, diverticulitus, gastritus, colitus, heart and blood pressure problems, and every bowel movement feels like razors ripping me apart inside. I thought I new pain with my periods and bleeding all the time so my doc just left me on percocet or darvocet for all those years before. This pain is 100% worse but pain need don't work for me anymore because I grew tolerant to them. My doc has me on methadone and Oxy ir and I still have level 8 pain. I cannot find a surgeon who isn't scared to go in and cut the adhesions, plus it just makes more. My point in all this is DO NOT let them operate in you Anymore if possible. I know the pain you have is severe but try going to a bowel doc to see if your having intestinal problems on top of your other problems. Also cymbalta helped me with some of the pain along with depression. Ask your doctor about hormone therapy to regulate your periods. Never give up and remember doctors don't know everything. Just look what they did to me and I began with the same exact problem. Now I can't have kids, can't work and can't walk longer than an hour without intestinal spasms that make me collapse to the ground. I wish you the best of luck. I'm seeing a hypnotis at uva pain clinic now maybe that could help too. God bless

Hi I was wondering if you have found any answers?  My 17 year old daughter has experienced very similar pain.  She used to be a cheerleader and even when she was sick it was hard to keep her down.  Now for the past 2 years she has severe low abdominal pain, bloating, blood in her stool  when she does minimal activity.  She also has chest pain, shortness of breath and a fast heart rate. She has had 3 colonoscopies, 1 lapracopic surgery. meckles scan, tons of blood work, and has seen 5 different doctors.  The only thing that has come out is posative stool cards for blood, anemia, and worsening ANA.  She also developed a hand tremer that comes and goes.  Please let us know if you hear any news on you diagnosis

Hi there Luckibird. I'm sorry it's pain that brought you to these forums, but I hope you get answers and support while you're here.

It's possible the pain you're feeling could be from trigger points inside the pelvic area. These are areas of knotted up muscle that can get super tight and hard to the point that the muscle is in constant spasm and only releasing the trigger will help the pain go away. The problem is that releasing the trigger is easier said than done.

If you're not already seeing a Pain Specialist, you should request a consult. They tend to take a different approach than just a gyno would, so you might get more answers. Pelvic physiotherapy might be helpful, as well as injections to release the triggers. Botox is often used in these cases, and while it's expensive, when it works, it works really well.

When you have this pain, have you tried using either ice or heat? I love heat for my pain - I find it much more soothing. Magic bags are wonderful for pain relief!

I hope you'll be able to find a doctor who can "think outside the box" and come up with some ideas on what might help you. Good luck to you.
