Biopsy scheduled...Finally!!

Hey family, I hope everyone is doing well these days. I haven't been posting much but I have been reading. All of this unknown stuff that is going on with me is finally taking its toll. The land of the undiagnosed is a rough place to be.

The good news is that they finally scheduled my surgery! Yay me! I will be having an enlarged lymphnode removed from my neck for biopsy on the 28th of this month. I am scared yet relieved that it is finally scheduled.

As a few of you know, I think that I have lymphoma and this the only way to diagnose it. I am sure hoping for good news, but I need to know what is going on. I have been sick since last May and have baffled all different kinds of docs. So either I will get the treatment I need or rule out cancer.

I am so tired of all the tests and the "Well something serious is going on but we need it to rear it's ugly head". Where is Dr. House when you need him huh? Anyway, I just thought I would let you all know that at least I should know soon what is going on.

        I feel for you, and know that you are worried. Rightfully so too!

             We all will be praying for a good outcome to all of this. Bless your little heart!

          Please do let us know how things go. It wont be long and my wife and I will make a trip up there to visit you and you're sister.

Oh Shannon, I am so glad that you have your surgery booked finally. You know that my prayers are with you and that the outcome is favourable. I know you have been struggling so much and it is not an easy path that you are on. God is with you and at your side each step of the way.
Come and talk to us any time you want. We are all here for you girl!!!
I wish I were up Michael's way, because I'd jump in his van and come to meet you and Beckey too.

Thank you so much Suzane! I am so anxious to get this done and over with. They are going to do a wire guided biopsy because the node is so deep. Sounds like the wire has to be placed before I go in for surgery, yikes! I would much rather be asleep for that.

How are you feeling? Any relief at all? You are always in my thoughts because I know the horror of head pain. I sure hope you are doing better.

I wish you could come with Michael and his wife too. Who knows, in the future we will all have to make a road trip your way! A long road trip. How many hours away are you from us? Just curious.

So glad you got a firm date... Yep, the land of the "undiagnosed" and not knowing what the future holds is a tough place to be - I feel for you! Good luck on the 28th - may the days go by extra quickly.

Hi Shannon It's good to hear that your surgery is finally almost here. My thoughts and prayers will be with you while you wait and during the surgery. I sure hope they find something they can treat other than cancer. God bless you and your sister. You two take care.

ps. I wish I could meet some of my friends here too but I doubt any of you would want to come here except during the summer or fall. Spring and Winter would be pretty hard on you all. It seems that spring doesn't want to come and winter doesn't want to leave.

    Oh this post from you is looong overdue! I am relieved to hear that you will finally get it removed and biopsy done. You have been through so much! By the time Christmas came around you were flat out drained. Physically and emotionally. It was so hard to read and know about what you were enduring through. It was like they were dragging their feet testing you for EVERYTHING under the sun! *hugg* I hope, and pray, that this is going to give you the answers you deserve and help alleviate your symptoms. You are always in our hearts here, my heart no doubt.
