Hi chatters. I don't mean to restate the obvious but you do have a lot going on- wow. I am so sorry that you are going through all that. I don't have a pain pump but I agree with Tina when she said that it may be the best option for you due to your malabsorption problems. May I ask how your belly got infected so badly?
The people on this board are wonderful and very supportive so please feel free to post any time. Even though we all have different problems, we are all in this together and together we can do this crazy thing called chronic pain. OK I'm done being philosophical for today-LOL Lee
Thank you all for the wonderful welcome. My problems started when I went in for a tummy tuck. They made and incision above pubic line from hip to hip to do a tummy tuck. I had 2 c sections with my children and could not get my tummy back in shape, so opted for the tummy tuck. It went horribly wrong after about
5 days post op I developed an infection called Pseudomonas maltophilia. It is a rare nasty infection that is antibiotic resistant. It ate my skin, tissue muscle, and stomach. I was hospitalized for months and sent home with round the clock IV treatment. They did 2 reconstructive surgeries to take out damaged areas. I have been left with abdominal hole the size of a bowling ball. Due to the massive abdominal damage, I cannot absorb most vitamins and receive massive doses to compensate, but my levels are still barely detectable. Thank you again for the welcome and your interest in me and medical nightmare.
