You have to walk on the knee and bear weight or you will not be able to and it will start to stay in a bent position. I have had over 30 scopes, and three total knees on the SAME knee. They are always able to draw off bloody fluid on mine, and it often depends on where they put the needle in. I wonder if he could inject 15 cc marcaine, and then after a half hour or so see, if you were able to bear weight and walk. I never had any PT for my scopes, just the total knee and revisions. You may be forming so much scar tisssue that he will have to do a manipulation under anesthesia, and directly from the surgery you need to go to physical therapy, and let them begin therapy, so as to avoid a repeat if that is the problem. Good luck
