If it is fairly close to your ear I would suggest your first step after seeing your primary care doctor is an Ear/Nose/Throat specialist and then if that does not help a neurologist. Also a trip to the dentist might not hurt either as it is possible that it is referred pain from a dental issue.
i meant not near the ear i was just trying to put an image from where the pain is located if you look at your ear level & head thats where it begins the area is the size of the palm of my hand. not behind the ear i have no ear aches, toothaches. I also experience load pitch noises that no one else hears but me. if our two boys are talking & the tv is on everything begin to sound all mixed together I have to ask them to talk softly & really lower the tv & my eye get double vision.
