We went up the street today to sign our new lease and asked our landlord if we could have an air conditioner in our apartment. She said yes. So hopefully tomorrow our check will come, and we can go buy one. It's hot today, but nothing like it is supposed to be starting tomorrow. Monday it is supposed to be in high 80s and extremely humid. Last week was really hot and humid and it almost made me sick. I am heat intolerant and wear the fentanyl patches too.

I'm so thankful for this.

I hope everyone has had a low pain day and will have a low pain evening and night. Take care

So, so happy for you Loretta:) I have trouble with the heat too. I bet it will make a huge difference in how you feel overall.

As someone who struggles w/ major heat intolerance - I know what a blessing this is for you!!  I'm so happy smilewinkgrin   This will be of so much help to you... like you said, it's especially helpful since you wear the fentanyl patch.  Ahhh, and the humidity!  It will be so nice to have that A/C.

I don't know what I would do without ours. Like many here I don't tolerate the heat very well either.

Thank you all for replying. Hopefully we can get one on Monday. I was hoping a check would be in the mail today, but it wasn't. So, I'm hoping it will be there Monday so we can go to WalMart and see about purchasing one. It's so hot. I would love to get one today, but it's supposed to be even worse starting Monday, so I'm praying.

If I may offer a suggestion. If you have a Home Depot in your area you might want to consider going there instead of Wal Mart. The reason is that Home Depot stocks LG air conditioners which sell at or very close to the same price as the ones Wal Mart sells, but through years of experience with window AC's I have found LG products to be of a lot better quality.
