I'm in sooooo much pain today... I can't take it no more!!! I'm sooooo sick and tired of always being in pain all the time... Its been really humid and thunder storming today, so I'm sure that has something to do with the amount of pain I've been in today, but it just sucks. Does anyone else's pain flare up in bad weather?

Hi SoSick Weather does affect my pain a lot. I wrote a post about
how the rain that we had Sunday affected my pain. I was a bit better earlier today, but more rain is coming in again upon our footstep. I'm hurting so bad again. I sure hope that your pain is better tonight.
love and hugs

same with me here on the east coast. things are getting very bad for chronic pain patients; earthquakes, hurricane chance. it sucks if your doctor appt. is that day.

Oh yes, I definitely get a spike in pain when the weather is bad. It's been stormy here today, too, and I have been flaring badly. I have also heard that when there is a hurricane nearing the coast, this causes the barometric pressure to drop...and regardless of how far away you are, it's common to have increased pain. I'm so sorry you are feeling so bad today.
Spinal, my heart also goes out to you on the east coast. Y'all are getting more than your share of calamities with yesterday's quake and the pending hurricane. I live on the coast of Texas and I know the misery that hurricanes can bring. Good luck to you.
SoSick, I hope tomorrow will bring you some comfort. Until then, we'll just all have to hang in there together here on the forum.

Thanks guys... I'm from the east coast to (michigan). The weather is so unpredictable here. It could be 90 one day, then the next it'll be 70 and raining. Its horrible for my back. Then we have horrible winters! Last winter I fell seriously like 20 times!!! And I recently found out that my right leg it 2cm longer then the left (due to my scoliosis... Great news right... Ughhh...

Yeah, it's raining! Guess where I live? The Chesapeake Bay is beautiful! The way the rain fall on the shifting bridge! It's something to be seen. From the road. My scs unit works great, unless it rains! Does anyone know anything about
barometric pressure making the muscle around the unit sensitive? I think the combo of Irene & the baro. pressure has made the muscle a little swollen. Either that or it's the cha-cha- I've been doing.

SoSick, many of us know in advance when it is going to rain or have a weather change. Our bodies revolt to the barometric changes. I am serious when I make that statement too.
Hang in there, things will get better.
