Collapsed colon???

So I spent the better part of yesterday at the hospital getting a ct scan as I thought I may be having problems with my lone kidney, I was told not to leave the hospital until my gp had the results. After many long agonizing hours of waiting he called and said my kidney was ok but my colon had collapsed? I had never heard of that and after googling it sounds like can be caused by a bowel obstruction, i.e. tumor, cyst, etc. my gp was able to get me an appt. with a G.I. Doc today as its causing alot of pain ( as if I don't already have enough !) was wondering if anyone else has had this or what I can expect at the docs. I can't stomach the thought of any more surgeries, no pun intended. Please be thinking of me as I am very scared.

Stray dog, I met with the gi doc, something going on in my lower colon, will be having a colonoscopy in the next few weeks but because of my blood thinners she is only able to do biopsy, if she finds a tumor or something she will have to go back in after I can stop my meds and remove it then. The long short of it is I am potentially facing two procedures instead of one which is really stressing me out! Seems the punches keep coming and I can't catch a break!!
