Where is the truth in Oxycodone shortage?

Here in Canada ( ontario) they are making the narcotics that are being abused so that they can not be abused in the wasy ppl have they wont melt down either............

Have not heard of a shortage here as I get 240 a month and hubby the same ...........

Sorry you are dealing with this BUT am glad you got your RX filled

 This is my first reply on this site and as to this Oxtcotin/Oxycodone mess I think it all has to do with the people that like to shoot it because Oxycotin has always been called a hillbilly herion which really is just making it worse for those of us who really need it and use it as prescriped un like all the recreational users. The generic for oxycotin is oxycodone made by prudue and as for this new crap called opana or OP I call it oxy poision and do not like it because of some of the side effects it causes. I'm a diabetic with Neropathy & Rheumatoid Arthritis and also missing 5 toes on my left foot and broke my lefty hip about 4 years ago too. I do follow my prescription as prescribed to a tee and my body is so tempermental to any changes to any of my medications and I have had so many doctors try so many different types of drugs with me and I hate it and told them no more I'm not a geninee pig for testing and I know what works for me and what don't, and I do have my diabetes managed very good at this time as to my blood sugars always being between 90-130 all the time. But I only wish I could gain some weight.

  II have been taking these medications for 3-4 years now if not longer, I started by taking the 15mg IR oxycodone's then after about a year went to the 30mg IR and 60mg MS Cotin then eventually going on to the 100mg and after a few years of that I started becoming in more pain then normal and so much that I could not handle it anymore so my doctor put my on the 40mg Oxycotin which helped for a little while but just like anything after taking it for a while your body gets used to it and then you require more so then he put me on the 80mg and then it finally made it to where my pain was bearable at least. I have always hated taking any kind of pills and still do but when it comes to getting older and being in so much pain you can only take so much and as we all know when you are in pain it makes your blood pressure high which is not good either. I was blind for 4 years from cararacts and now have kidney problems and have had kidney failure also and it won't be long til I need a kidney transplant because they are only functioning at about 25% right now.

  I do wish these drug companys would pull their heads out of their a**es or if they need help I would like to do it for them. I have a Patent that I have been working on for 4 years now to Improve on Medical Technology and save lives as well and if it was in play and on the market right now the Government would be saving over 300 Billion a year that they spend on wrongful deaths skull and medical mistakes  nono   As well as all of these problems and issues would be solved by now and the whole medical system would be better off for everyone. yeah  As to finding the right medications here in Arizona I see a big problem because of these issues.

I just got my oxycodone refilled last week and had no problems with it.

eyes   I don't think it will be as much of a problem to get the oxycodone as it will the oxycotin and I think that it is the main issue with the drug company's. That's what I've been hearing and I know I don't want to be taking anything else that who knows what the hell they are putting in it, boy that's something to think about, huh?

I have had multiple sclorsis for going on 8 years and take oxycodone for the pain so that I can function ans sleep like a normal person. What is with all the excuses of the pharmacies not having it. I havew heard everything from "we only get a very limited supply" to "the dea is cracking down hard on it's use" What do the people like me and millions of others do in the mean time. Are we suppost to sit in constant pain until someone gets it stright. I hurt along with the other people and all we want is relief. Let the dea go after the ones who are using it illeagally and let the people who need it alone.
