Let me give you an up date. The surgery worked in a way. I'm told I'll have to have a two more. They are saying I'll be in the hospital two more weeks. This doesn't include rehab. I have feeling and control of my legs, but my right foot is paralyzed. They do not know if I will regain control of it or not, so nothing is quite set in stone. Which gives me hope to work my butt off to try, and get it back. My father used to be an an alcoholic but quit drinking after I got strong enough to stop him from hitting me and my sisters. I guess everyone needs their push no matter what it is. He suffered a stroke about
a year after he entered AA. He regained much off his motor skills durig his time in rehab before he passed away from a second stroke. Just the fact it's possible to regain something like that gives me hope.
I nearly finished writing my publication (Even though I'll have to retype most of it considering it was written while on a morphine drip lol). I just want to thank you alll so much for your thoughts and prayers. They really mean a lot; more than you can ever know. I hope you all have a blessed holiday season.
