Anyone out there suffering from atypical facial pain, burning mouth syndrome or a form of trigeminal nerve pain that is a constant pain but not the sharp stabbing like pain?
Would love to talk to you if you are out there.

Hi Radles,
I have trigeminal neuralgia (among other issues) Mine is a constant pain along with the lovley stabbing sensation from time to time. I would be happy to talk with you, just let me know.

I have tm. it is miserable. I hope you find relief. I used to get the constant burning pain but now am back to the stabbing take your breath away out of nowhere pain that lingers. valium actually helped me and acupuncture and my dentist. the dentist fiddled with a nerve in my face via oral surgery which helped. I have never used the message boards but feel free to contact me I could try an figure it out. feel better

Yes, I am. I certainly don't have TM, since my pain is very much constant and more of a throbbing, burning, aching kind of pain. I made a big post in a thread about it here. https://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=16&m=2474527

No, I dont have that, but from reading holydiver's thread about his facial pain, it sounds very terrible and hard to deal with. Hope you get some answers for youself.

Yes I do. I had both sides of my TMJ's replaced due to the bones fusing. Surgery was done purely for function. Dr warned the pain would not go away, and he was correct. I have received numerous nerve blocks to help and Botox as well. Currently I am having dry needleing done from the shoulders on up. Burning mouth is also an issue. I don't mention it much cause it's so hard to explain.

Hello all. Yes it has been a while since I posted, just plodding along and trying to deal with this nightmare. I have given up hope it will go away on it's own, ah life used to be easy!
