WOW!…First I would say that something is wrong with a Dr who has allowed this in the first place. To answer your question though…I do by all means treat my Dr with respect,…but I have had serious talks with him about
my pain management, and he listened and accepted what I had to say. It is my own personal belief that if I had a Dr that treated me with suspicion without cause, then I would have one last talk to save the relationship rather than to just walk. If that does not work, then I will walk and seek another PCD/ PM and that will be that. We must understand it is not easy for many of us to just seek out another PM/PCD, as our insurance will only allow one or two changes per year….plus the fact that milage and even finding a suitable PCD/PM may not be all that easy.
So keep in mind that as a patient we need to do all we can on our part before making such a move. There are several things you can do to build trust as well, and I practice this constantly. We also must remember that many Dr's and PM's across this country are also under the gun and it helps them when we do our part.
I'm not sure what has led up to all of your CT scans, and I'm sure there is much more to the story, as this is not something you can order and or schedule without a Dr's approval. So if you would enlighten us a bit more, it may make some sense to us.
Take care,
