It's Monday..... time to check in.... let us know how you "survived" the weekend and what you have planned for the week ahead.

      ...work,...work, and more work. I did however get to go to a BBQ and Pie contest that Mrs Scream entered Saturday...and she took 1st place for her Apple Pie! Wahoo! I was so proud of her, and she beat out several teams...some of them from out of state. She has a secret ingredient, but will not share it with anyone. LOL

    I see my Dr this Tuesday, and hopefully he will make some sort of adjustment, as I need some help badly right now.

Watched a couple movies over the weekend. Tried to catch up on some things for work. Also had physical therapy.

It's a busy week ahead with work. Also have my appointment with my therapist on Thursday and then physical therapy over the upcoming weekend.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Enjoy the upcoming week.

Hi good Monday morning all,

I have had a strangely quiet week for me. My sister had her whipple type surgery on Thursday and her daughter made it here to be with her so I could graciously slide into the background to rest. Since she found alternate sleeping accommodations and my bil is staying in their camper at hospital I can go visit when I am able and not have to cook or clean for others.

I had an excellent week after I dealt with the stress family members can bring. I have only one appt this week and it's just for blood work so this is going to be another good week.
I wish I could take away the pain from everyone but I can 't, I still have loads of my own but I am coping far better.
I still have not heard anything about my disability payment but just knowing its going to come has given me hope.

SE, secret ingredient I hope it's not the same one my hubby says I use.

Good afternoon everyone
Hope the weekend was kind to everyone.
Myself, I did zippo on Sat. and on Sunday I had a scrapbooking event at my home with some lady friends.
No appts. Actually I don't have any appts anymore because there is nothing that helps me, no meds, no treatments, therefore no one to see.
I am still waiting on a call regarding the workup for ons surgery.
Back to the gym this week, I had taken the last two weeks off as i was having back pain.

Hope everyone can have as good a week as possible.

I hosted a guest scholar visiting from Hong Kong. We spent most of the weekend going over the manuscript for my book. Fortunately, pain levels were manageable.

First soccer game for my son was Saturday morning (unfortunately, they didn't get the *W*). Rest of the weekend was spent in bed / hanging with the kids and dreading Monday :-(

I had my PM appt today (I'll post about that later, right now, I'm going to bed!). I have appt with neurosurgeon on Wednesday. Other than that, I am completely swamped at work... Absolutely must catch up on all this paperwork I have been avoiding... Ugh.

Hoping for a good week for all :-)

My weekend was same ole same ole. I have an appointment Wednesday afternoon with my counselor. That's all I have planned.

I hope you're all having as good an evening as is possible. I know Michael isn't, and I sure hope your dr remedies that my friend.

i survived the weekend by buying myself a new bottle of purfume..lifted my spirits and i smell delicious!

this week ahead i am looking forward to my PM doc appt tomorrow and hopefully i wont have to beg them to help me

We did an overhaul on the shed this weekend. Lots of purging and hubby making 6 trips to the dump. I'm not sure how we ended up with so much stuff. LOL

Well I finally heard back from my PCP, the earliest the Rheumy can see me is Feb 5th. So we called our insurance and they helped find another rheumy that can see me the 15th of next month. I'm sure I wouldn't have made it to Feb. I'm exhausted.

My oldest came down with a head cold end of last week. I ended up with it Sunday. SO now on top of my usual everyday headache I have a sinus headache too. Blech! Right now there's 3 out of 6 of us down. I'm sure by Friday we'll all have it.

No appointments this week. Thank goodness.

Suzanne I'm so excited for you on the ONS. Crossing my fingers and toes for you. I'm thinking I probably shouldn't have chickened out. Its starting to come more and more of a reality to me that no matter what I do ultimately I'll have to have it done.

This weekend was spent watching movies with the family and doing some small cleaning. My "helper" seems to have dropped off the face of the Earth and I think my house is screaming to be mopped! What I wouldn't give for a good mopping in this house!!!

I also did the 24 hour urine and got it turned in. So far so good with all of the other tests. Turns out all my other levels are fine, so we'll keep trying.

Most of the weekend was honestly trying to keep my stress level down about the PM visits I'd rather not remember. I'm still expecting to get kicked out of my current practice, but I've decided to jump back on the waggon again and start looking full force!!! I'm going to beat this thing!

Have a pain free week my friends. I would have been lost without ya'll last week!!

Justanotherday, had you already had an appt re the ons and you decided to not go with it? i know we've talked about our headaches before but with little memory i am not sure of the details.

I know what you mean about having a cold on top of the daily head pain, not fun at all, that's for sure.
Hope you will feel better soon.

Hi everybody. I had a back-to earth moment this weekend. Haven't done much house cleaning since I have had the arachnoiditis, but I looked around on Saturday and realized the toilets really needed a good scrubbing.

Thought i was up to the job. Ha! Ha! Bending over to scrub two toilets with a pumice stone for about 30 minutes did me in. I couldn't move! I was literally frozen. It was humbling and depressing to be reminded of the things I can't do. Wish I could afford a maid! At this rate, I'll never get my house cleaned!

Hi Suzanne,

Yes I had an appointment with a doc in New Hampshire and he decided I needed the ONS and also an SCS for my lower back. I got the approval from my insurance to go ahead with the trial. I had to decline because our insurance changed and they wouldn't cover the ONS trial. When our insurance changed again I and would cover it, I opted to not try it at this time because I was getting a very small amount of relief from the RF's and I wanted to hold off until my youngest was a little older. They had told me I wouldn't be allowed to bend over or do very much for the first 6 weeks after having the permanent OCS installed. At the time my youngest was 6.

I'm still trying to hold off on it as long as possible. I don't have the time to be down for that long. Hubby has a very strange schedule working on an ambulance and god forbid the teenagers in the house help.

Spider woman I still can not do most housework and I have to admit the person this bothers the most is me. Do what you can leave the rest, I have 3 bathrooms to clean and I do them on different days I really try not to overdo things the pain has taught me a lot.

RetiredMom my thought are with you I read your other post and I think watching tv and trying to distress was a wise decision.

Everyone else sorry you are having a hard time, you are all in my prayers, positive thought to all.
