great body pillow and update on my son

i found an amazing body pillow that supports the back and legs. i used it last night for the first time and slept great so i thought i'd pass it along. doesnt seem ideal for those who sleep with partners though...

update on my son - after 11 days in the hospital and multiple procedures he has been released and is generally doing well. He had to have a skin graft to close the surgery site and that led to the extended hospital stay. he was quite the trooper!

I've been a big proponent of body pillows for years, but I don't like the one piece pillows. I bought a body pillow cover, and put two regular pillows inside of it. Started doing that when I was flying all the time. Much easier to get just a pillow cover into luggage than a full body pillow. Just ask the hotel ahead of time for two extra pillows, tell them I have a bad back, and I was bringing a body pillow cover with me. Never had a problem with it. They were always waiting in the rooms.

Except for that hotel I stayed in for a couple nights in Memphis. I had to track them down from the desk clerk. Just down the street from Graceland. Elvis pictures on every wall. Including one in the bathroom, right across from the can. I'm sitting on the crapper, and it's like he's looking right into my soul, man, you know? Glad I was only in town for a couple days.

The body pillow cover I got because of the travel, cause the body pillow I had at the time would have taken up a whole extra suitcase and $80 each way on Delta to fly it where I needed to go. And they are surprisingly hard to find in the stores, when you are actually looking for them. I ran across the body pillow case idea, sitting in WalMart, stymied about what to do, I was in Lubbock, Texas with no body pillow. I figured I'd just go there and get one, but no dice. It's not something they carry all year. But they do carry the covers all year I found out, thanks to the nice lady who was stocking the shelves. I bought 2. They are with the rest of the pillow cases and sheets. One in my checked bag, and one in my carry-on.

Glad I did too, I got weather delayed out of Newark once, and missed a connecting flight in Cincinnati, and had to spend the night there, without my luggage. My carry-on was a backpack that always had a change of clothes, a body pillow case, my meds, and my laptop, just for that purpose. Only had to explain it to the TSA once.

And I like the flexibility of it too. It helps hold my torso more upright, and with it between my knees it kind of aligns my pelvis. I'm almost propped up on the top half of it, with the pillow holding me up, and I have the ability to move my legs without disturbing the top half.

And the Graceland hotel story is the honest-to-goodness, hand-over-my-heart truth. I've got pictures. It was creepy. Ever try to get the Browns to the Super Bowl while an 8x10 Elvis stares at you during his Love Me Tender phase? Ain't enough Metamucil in the world for that to happen.

Living Color, OMG you made me laugh so hard I snorted water out of my nose. I'm still cracking up and I was on the phone when I was reading this, talking to the mri people lol. I bet the lady thought I was drunk or something. Thanks for the laugh!
