Mods, pardon me if this is not allowed, so I'd rather not be reprimanded if it isn't .

I read through the FAQs and didn't see anything specific about this, just listing "personal information" so I wanted to give this one a shot. Is it possible to ask about hobbies or something like that? I know people can post about it in their bios, but I'm sure people rarely read bios, and I'd like to know if anyone has the same interests or things like that.

I know we aren't allowed to post links or stuff like that, so I'm not asking people do that, just say what they're interested in, beside what they say in their intro post.

Ugh, my bad if this was...out of place...or out of bounds of whatever...or if it's been posted before, or if it really is already posted in the FAQ and I missed it.

I do a lot of video gaming. If I'm not doing that, I'm reading.

My current favorite author is Chuck Palahnuik. I can't pronounce his last name if my life depended on it. His most famous work was writing "Fight Club", since it became a well-known movie and all. I'm also catching up on the "Fearless" series which is pretty good even though it's considered teen-fiction.

If you're into console gaming, that would be awesome. I'm always looking for new people to play with. I don't really do much of the flash games. I've been to Pogo a few times and dabbled around. It was pretty entertaining but I always return to my console lol. There was another site like Pogo but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it; I always played Tetris there. Maybe I'll join Pogo and we can play a game or two together.

I don't think I'd have the patience for gardening Susie lol.

pshaw, you should save up for a Playstation3, although 4 is coming out soon so...maybe save up for that one instead.

Very few people in my face-to-face life play and...Brandon freakin' sucks at it and makes me want to rage quit on him. He never takes my gaming advice >:/ Charley is fun to play with, but her gaming is kinda' limited so that's mildly upsetting.

I love watching football too. College and NFL.

I read, a lot. We enjoy hiking and biking (within reason). Then, I read some more...

Reviving a semi-old thread, as I missed it when it first came around.

I love movies. Especially old movies, documentaries, and foreign films, but quirky indie films work for me too. I'm currently using 2 different rent-by-mail subscription services to feed the monster. One has a massive library, but the other one has more hard-to-find films (like the 5 hour director's cut of Das Boot), and a lot more documentaries.

I live for music. I've got a guitar and a bass sitting in the corner I don't do much with anymore, but I do have friends in the local music scene, and I really get into classic R&B. Stax, Motown, all of those regional records that came out of New Orleans and Houston in the 50's through the 70's. And I'm a sucker for just about anything with a horn section. I don't see much live music anymore because I generally don't go to bars, but I will make exceptions for certain bands, and bars around here sell Cokes and bottled water with no smart alek remarks now. Sometimes they give them free if you tell them you are driving.

If I'm playing a "video game" it's Scrabble on Pogo, or one of the various "tower defense" type flash based strategy games. I can lose a whole day doing that.

Or it's building Lego kits with my nephew when he's around. We can spend quality time, and he actually opens up and talks because it's his favorite activity (He's almost 7). He's also fooling around on the guitar, so when his hands get a little bit bigger, I'll be able to show him some basics.

I also have a facebook group where I sometimes play DJ. I load a culled group of songs (mostly just the hits and my personal faves - about 1700 tunes) into a media player, put it on random, and whatever song pops up, I go find a youtube video for it and post that. Saves bandwidth and all of that hassle of setting up a stream.

If I'm doing none of the above, and not in the restroom, I'm worshiping the ground Anthony Bourdain walks on.
