new here...ouch

ok, i had carpal tunnel surgeries in 2011..since then i have developed sharp shooting pain in my wrists and now my fingers and hands are in pain,, sharp pain.
i am under workers comp and saw 2 doctors for opinions and they feel it's chronic tendinitis. workers comp wants me to see yet another doctor.

these doctors told me it would take a long time for this to heal and i have a very physical job so it doesn't have time to rest.

anyone have any issues like this after CT? I've been dealing with this pain for almost 2 years. I've had enough!

hello and welcome to healing well... i too am a new member. ive been here for a couple weeks i guess. its really nice to chat and the people are wonderful.

before i went on disability i was a wedding cake decorator for publix. i know what carpel tunnel pain feels like. its very painful but i had to stop working, due to back pain before my wrists really became a problem. i do have a distant relative that had that surgery. she doesnt even work but had pain for years from that surgery.

i just wanted to welcome you to the site. im sure one of the other members may have some words of wisdom. i hope you get some relief.

I once had tendenitis in my wrist and it took several months of taking it easy before it healed up. I kept it either in a brace or wrapped in an ace bandage during that time. For me I also found that I got more benefit out of heat than ice and also Icyhot or Biofreeze rub also helped with the pain, but rest and gentle daily working of wrist is what actually allowed it to heal.

Hi just another welcome, sorry to hear that you have CT, my friend had it.

She too had the surgery and it took a long time before she was able to return to work. She is a massage therapist, and that's how she pays the bills. So getting back to work was a major deal for her.

I can't offer much advice but I wanted to welcome you and I sincerely hope they get you healed quickly
