serious problem need help please read

I have a serious?/problem iam prescribed to 10mg ambien 10mg percocet and 20mger opana lately i been sleep walking and doing crazy thing almost to where its violent and im not that type of person but long story short ambien almost caused me to lose my gf i was sleep walking(been getting worse)and dont remember doing this but woke up to find all my newly filled prescription bottles empty an have no idea what i have done i dont remember a thing but know iam going to be in trouble because my safety net is out i called the dr they will see me tomorrow im in pain management is there a chance they will replace them i been on them for 5 years and been going to the same place and pharmacy im only 7 days into it and panicing if they dont what will happen to me i hear horrible withdraw stories i take all these as prescribed by the way i just dont want to look like im abusing them or selling them because im not i need them even tho i dont think i want the ambien starting to cause relationship problems and now this ruining my life even tho i feel rested on them help me ideas anyone im in Maryland if it will help please im worried sick

yea i live with my gf and her parents they all know i been doing this for some time was on 5mg then they wasnt working and put me on 10mg about a year ago its not everynight i have these sleep walks more when iam really stressed out and i have told my dr before sometimes i would sleep walk but never had this happen its a 1st i feel well rested but sometimes they had even recorded me talking wierd and up walking around at 1 -2am and would respond even sometimes just as i was awake

The reason I asked about others in the home is that it could be very possible someone has taken your meds when you were not "in the right frame of mind"...

A few more questions...

Do you have the actual bottles? Were they all in the same place you left them last?

I guess I just can't see what else would have happened to them besides being stolen. If you just accidentally "dumped" them out...you all would be able to see all of them on the floor somewhere.

These are questions that I assume your Dr. will ask and need answered.

There are many other ways to help get a night's sleep that are more natural like Melatonin because as I mentioned, something extremely more serious could have happened from OD'ng on the pills or even hopping in the car and driving.

You have already mentioned that you get "violent" and I'm not sure why you continued to take them after something happening even once like this. Is this referencing just the Ambien? Or all the meds...

I've been on Ambien for 7 years now and the only thing that I have ever done is become more "chatty" online if I am on the computer an hour or so after taking them, or I go and fix something strange to eat. This happens while I am still awake and has only happened a few times over these years.

You are not on a terribly high dosage of pain meds, so if by chance your Dr. decides to not help you out, you should be able to get over the worst of "flu" like symptoms in the next few days.
Just stay well hydrated, and eat small meals when able.

Again...if this is the very first issue in 5 years then I would think your Dr. will want to help you out.

Have you told your Dr. previously about these "violent" episodes as well as sleep walking and doing things you don't remember?

I would make sure to bring in the bottles as well as the pills you found. And even offer to do a urine test which if you were saying this just happened last night.....a proper lab test can be able to show your regular usage all the way up until last night. This would help prove your case.

You still haven't answered whether you have ever had an issue with anything like this in the 5 years you have been seeing this Dr. Any other times lost or have you ever run out early?

This will all make or break the difference in how they handle things.

Sounds like you should be ok then as nothing like this has ever happened. I would just tell the Dr. you want off the Ambien obviously....and offering to take a urine test to show him that you have been taking all the other meds properly until this happened last night should help.

I agree with Snowbunny, you need to talk to your doctor and tell him about this sleep walking and that you need off the Ambien, as soon as possible, maybe once your off the ambien you can go to a health food store and try Melatonin but start at only 1 mg. melatonin is safer to use. Give it a try and then just talk about this situation with your girlfriend and her parents and tell them that you've been sleep walking under a medication and hope that by getting off that medication the sleep walking will stop, be positive and many well wishes to you.

HI GTC, there is a good chance that they won't rewrite them so be prepared. If he does there is a greater chance the pharmacy won't fill. They are just too afraid of catching attention.

I had the same sort of thing happen on percocet,caused horrible night terror and I was getting up doing things I didn't remember.

Could or would your gf flush them? Sometimes those that care about us think they are helping and especially if the meds are causing problems. You could have subconsciously done it for the same reasons.

If they don't rewrite them ask if they can write you meds to at least help with withdrawal symptoms.

I am new here and don't want to sound like i am trying to tell you what to do or be negative in any way as it sounds like you have been through a bad situation already. I, personally have tried many sleep aids and just cannot tolerate them for some reason. This is a bit strange as , unfortunately, i take MANY medications, several of them being narcotics, but i juat can't tolerate the sleep aids. When i do take them i will fall asleep wherever i am sitting. I have woke up with my face in a keyboard or, even on the floor, and since i have very serious back injuries this is not an option. I am still healing from a broken back. So, my solution? I don't take them any longer. I sleep whenever i can. This may not be an option for you and i know how very very frustrating this can be, but it's a matter of personal situations and choices. As far as refilling your scripts, there are varying factors again that can affect the outcome. Insurances, pharmacists, and history may offer a bit of leniency, but this is more political, unfortunately. I wish you the best as chronic pain is the worst to deal with.....
