Hurricane Andrea causing danger for us in Fl.

Outer edges even hitting us here in western SC. Last night, one storm alone dumped 3 inches in an hour. Praying out two sump pumps in our basement hold, as long as we don't lose the electricity, we are normally ok.

Suppose to hit outer SC really hard by tomorrow, my daughter lives in a low, flat part of Charleston that floods bad just from a normal rain.

David I actually live 400yds from the beach and at low tide that puts me about 600 yds from waters edge. Right now the waters hitting the sea wall that protects us under normal rain and high tides.

We have water splashing over during a swell from the high wind gusts. Lots of rain coming down.

I go out to look at the wall every hour or so just checking ya know? My great concern about the water being up in the dunes is we are in sea turtle nesting season since May 1st and as an endangered species they are at great risks with the tide being up there in the nests for that long.

I've seen the marine wildlife folks out this morning so they're already checking known nests.

The winds are a problem as I keep losing my Wi-Fi too.

Dont take chances David and make your daughter get out to safety too if it comes to that.

If any of us coastal don't show you all will know we've moved to safety and will report in when we can.

I'll be praying for you all! The rain is headed this way (Boston - some already here). We're supposed to be getting like 3 inches in 24 hrs. My basement floods too. Bought a "Basement Watchdog" (battery backup) recently and already have problems with the battery charger! Hopefully we don't lose power!
