Was a whole thread removed recently?

Perhaps I have missed something again, but has a whole thread been removed recently? I was under the impression we were leaving it up just in case the person wanted to come back for support. I will leave out the specifics to prevent strife, but the mods will be aware of what I am talking about.

Thank you Suzie...just wondered. I will not be able to remove this one myself because it has replies, but it won't bother me any if it removed.

It really isn't necessary to answer all of my simple questions twice though. I'm a smart gal and generally get it the first time. wink

I'd like to keep this up.... just to reiterate something that I last posted on that thread....

There are often things go on behind the scenes (via Admin, other moderators, e-mails and so forth). As said before, we do make our e-mails available if you have a question....

But I often see "I'm confused by all of this".... or "This doesn't make sense".... and, often times, there IS additional "behind the scenes" info.

(Not speaking of just this situation.... there's been multiple examples of this lately)...

One last thing.... I've done nothing but offer respect/politeness to you - since your return. Making rude, snarky comments - that are CLEARLY intended for me is not acceptable. You've done this on numerous threads, this one being the latest.

If you are a "smart gal"... then my advice would be to play by the rules.

RM...I think Susie and Tina posted at the same time and didn't see the other one...LOL...I've done that a few times when posting...so don't think you need to be defensive about it.

*Just a general statement and to no one in particular.....

I trust that you all as Mods and Peter, the owner, make decisions about posts/threads when editing or deleting and agree, that there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes for them that we don't see before they make that determination.

You all do a great job at keeping this place peaceful and running smoothly! And am very thankful at all that you all do, even though you have health issues like all of us as well as families, friends, and a life outside of HW!

Ok, I have kept my mouth shut but not now. RM, I have read all of your little snide remarks you have been making here at the forum lately and this is not the place for that. You make these remarks all the time now in an effort to start trouble, do you have any idea how it makes you look? Lets just stop all of this petty high school type of behavior and act like an adult......Susie

How lovely and supportive. I've never been called rude, "snarky", and told I make snide comments all the time in an intent to start trouble all in one post. I'm sorry so many of you feel this way.

I even reviewed my last several posts to see if I could see such a trend. Having never heard the term "snarky" before, I can only guess at that particular meaning. As far as my intent, you will have to continue to assume on that one.

I am a member (& have been for a long long time)..... nothing more, nothing less. I do not call names and I do not care to start trouble. I try to provide support to others if I can.

I am, however, tired of having to defend every word I say. Please block me if you don't like me. I won't be offended in the slightest.

What you've done since you've been back is made several "under the cuff" remarks on people who aren't your friend; people on a power trip; numerous other comments that we just ignored. I don't see these comments as forms of support... and I don't see how this is steering away from trouble???

No matter how long you've been a member - 10 years or 10 days.... there are certain rules that keep our forum a peaceful place..... It doesn't work to make an insulting comment and put a "smiley face" at the end of it.

I'm sorry this has to go on the open forum.... as I've asked many times to discuss this via e-mail - either w/ me or any other mod. Since you've declined that option, the discussion goes here - so I do apologize to other members.

Oh - and as moderators - we don't "block" people.

You don't have to defend anything.... but we (the moderators, collectively as a group) are asking you to refrain for snide, divisive comments. That's all. We don't all have to get along.... but we do need to coexist....

I only ask that you honor what you ask of me.

Please look back carefully and see that I have never directed anything (since my return from hiatus - I do not pretend that we had no open disagreements before my "HW vacation") at you or to you, yet you always seem to take a personal offense at whatever I say. Why you feel the way you do, I do not know.

I had no idea moderators could not or simply did not block people. Other people are quite welcome to block me if they feel I am not a valuable part of the HW CP family.

RM, you know very well what kind of remarks you have been making since your blow up here this last time. Please do not pretend you have not done this. The rules here at HW are for everyone not just a select few. I am going to lock this thread and hopefully this is the end of this little stunt....Susie

I have to agree as a group that the forum needs to remain a peaceful, supportive place.

No we as mods cannot use the member ignore button as you all can. To be fair to the thread and posters we must be able to see it in its entirety.

We left said thread up longer then was comfortable for the person to return when and if they could abide by the rules. Peter removed it and that's his choice and responsibility to the forum and every member, to make sure it continues to be a supportive and safe place.

I hoped all this would pass and that if anything was learned it was that the forum isn't the place for pettiness and any problems anyone has with any of us would be taken to our email or even to Peter if you feel we're wrong.

Everyone admits they wouldn't want our jobs then please don't try and do it from the sidelines or judge us for the way we do it.

Can we move on now. This has been going on too long.
