Have you ever received a stronger script because the pharmacy was out?

I read as many as I could before it did get funny, just a quick note, they have made the pills harder to split because people were crushing them up and either snorting or shooting them into well nose or vein.

Hahahahaha I love you guys.

But honestly? I've found using my fingers works best. That's what gives me the most even split anyway. And it works great for the percocet. But oh how I hate those little pink pills.

OxyIR is the bane (and sometimes savior) of my existence. Funny how most things in life work like that huh? I usually have to get my BF to handle those and he makes it look so easy! That's a man for you though.

I had it happen when I first started my pain journey but mine was not about it being narcotic it was about it being high priced. I went to a Walgreen's right when I got out of the hospital. It was not my normal one and it was about to close. I had a script for Lyrica, Cymbalta, and something else. Well my ins would not pay for the cymbalta without a PA. So we told the pharmacist to just give us 5 to last us till we could get the PA authorized. Instead of taking the Cymbalta out she took the Lyrica out. She charged me correctly. So I paid 30 for a 250 bottle of meds. We called them the next day. Lucky for them the Cymbalta still had a seal on it so I could take it back. They gave us some free Lyrica and Cymbalta for our trouble.

I think when I get the next ten I'm going to try to use my fingers. They are so small that I can never see to get a good grip on them but that's how I would break my normal dose in half.

My aunt said I have a cheap splitter and that's why I'm having such a hard time. LoL... Which makes sense cause its free!

Now after all this I'm going to tell you how I split mine. Not with a free splitter either! Lol

You know those itsy bitsy scissors, I think they are make up scissors or something, really little, kinda curved on the end? Dont even know where I got them. The scissors fit over the palm of my other hand completely so the broken pill falls right in. That curve somehow manages a good grip on it too.

Ohhhhh like mustache or eyebrow scissors? I have those! That's a great idea.

I'm actually realizing that having this higher does with fewer pills isn't so bad. I actually seem to use less because I can make it through the whole day with a quarterin the morning and one at dinner.

My boil doesn't even hurt now.

That's them! If they work better, cost less, would your Dr write them that way if you explained why you wanted them?

I think he would... When I go back next month I'm going to ask. Well, I'll ask if the rest of the month goes as well as this week has gone! :-)
