Hi All,
I usually post in RA but wondered if anyone here has suffered from or knows anything about frozen shoulders. I just had a diagnosis last Friday having been in agony now for at least 2 months, I'm unable to sleep as I can't lie on that shoulder and it won't lean across my body. I try building nests out of pillows, but inevitably wake up in extreme agony.
I can't believe how painful it is to try and move it beyond my limited range.
Questions are, how do you cope? How long does it last before you get into the frozen stage? How hard is it to cope once its frozen?
I've been told I need to organise my rheumy to get a cortisone shot into the capsule and to get it hydodilated? This sounds painful?
Any advice or knowledge would help please. I have lost so much weight from the pain and not sleeping. I'm feeling rather jagged from the whole experience.
I have enough background pain from the rheumatoid, I don't feel like I am coping very well with this condition on top of it.
Thanks for any help, golitho
