I discovered few weeks ago that the so-called medicinal plant “Arnica” is a perfect anti-inflammatory for chronic pain. Used in herbal ointments and oils applied on the skin, it can treat persistent pain. I wonder if anyone has already used this kind of ointments. Does it really work?

Hello Maite08 and welcome to the forum. Yes, Arnica has been used for years and years for various ailments. I have seen several creams in the drug store that contains Arnica in it. Let us know how it works for you.

As I recall, it's also beneficial for bruising.

But it does come with a caveat that it should not be used on a regular basis, but rather for acute situations.

Arnica is a well-known medicinal plant for its anti-inflammatory properties. It can be used for chronic or persistent pain such as sprains, phlebitis, back pain, arthritis but also to treat knocks, bruises and rheumatism as Merrida said, I also saw it on books “The most powerful and efficient medicinal plants” it’s an edition of the health publishing company if I remember very well, it can help you.

If I recall correctly, even the traditional Western Medical Community acknowledges the effects of Arnica because, (if I'm not mistaken), it's one of the things they'll ask you to discontinue before a surgery.
