Gas causing increase in back pain?

Weird topic I know, but just curious if anyone else has noticed this correlation?

I'm surprised at how much of an increase in pain I get when the gas is, well,...especially gaseous. 

I guess it makes sense, pressure is pressure....

But it's so remarkable how as the gas passes (sorry),...the pain lessens.

Come to think of it, yesterday was a particularly high fiber day...

yes, any gas makes my already severe back pain even worse, by ten fold sometimes. just went through this, this evening after dinner. went white with pain, had to lay down even though we had company, thought I was going to die. so I understand completely.

Makes it worse for me, esp. blotation/constipation from Percocet. Told my "doc" and was told that wasn't the real issue, my 10 yr. dependence on methadone was blamed and wanted me back on it. Not after all the w/d's of the last month. Off methadone for 4 weeks now. Been on opana er for 24 hrs + percs for breakthrough. -Mike

Goes to show how our condition needs to be addressed holistically and not just from the medical and  pharmacological communities. Healthy diet has really been big part of surviving w/d's in transitioning from 10yrs methadone to percs (bad, bad choice) and now on 2nd day of Opana Er which I'm starting to feel better on after about 3 week stay in nightmarish hell of an existence with severe insomnia (0-60 min sleep a night, some night none). I've gone from being a zombie with a heart to having hope of life again. -Mike
