Hello,
I had a carpal tunnel surgery in May of 2013 with two trigger finger release. The ring finger and the index finger, on my right hand.
I have healed pretty nicely. However I have this bump that has formed along the tendon or ligament of the ring finger, it is in the upper palm. It is tender and has grown some in size. I had problems from right after surgery with this finger. It did not feel right. It was hard to squeeze and bend. I kept doing what the doc said. I kept massage and exercise that hand. I did not get PT. Just was told to do normal stuff and get back to what I do. It has taken a while to get the soreness out and I still have some soreness in the heal of my hand, but this knot in the palm and under my ring finger is a bother. I went back to the doc and she said I have Dupuytren's Contracture disease. I googled it and I just do not buy it. I use my hands a lot. I am a maintenance Service manager. I have always used my hands. Hard working hands. But this knot does not feel right and I do not buy that I have this disease. Has anyone heard of complications after trigger finger release? Has anyone else had a bump? Would anyone like to share their input to help me understand? I might need a second opinion. Thank you for any information.
