Hey all,

I'm about to have a super busy week........... so I'm posting the Monday Check In a little early.

You all know the drill -- check in and let us know how you are, how you survived the weekend and what you've got planned for the week ahead.

I survived the weekend, complete with sledding! I took it easy for the rest of the day but that was mostly due to a research paper I had to write. I have three more assignments and then I'm off for three weeks! Whoo Hoooo!

This week I'm hoping to finish up my Christmas shopping. My doctor gave me the a-okay to join a gym and he confirmed what Merrida said and I don't even have to workout between patch changes. He said I should be fine to exercise with it on but he warned me to go very slowly and listen to my body... I'm looking forward to that.

I hope everyone has low pain days through the week and the holidays. I also hope that your joy and being with your loved ones helps to remind you of why we fight our pain so much. When we are having those hopeless days, it helps to think of times like these!

Busy Cold week for me but good news, Christmas week is going to see 80's.

Dr appointment tomorrow to find an alternative to the methadone I can live with!

Last bit of shopping left and friends coming in from up north! If they can dig out!! Lol

For now trying to stay warm! May go spend the day in the hydropool!!!
Hoping everyone has a great week with low pain and is able to enjoy the pre-holiday week!!

Woke up to another below zero day here. This is getting old and I'm getting a little sick of winter already. Most of hubby's family has moved to Florida and its looking better everyday. I see Frostproof in my future. lol

Still digging out from under all the snow here. We got over a foot yesterday. And are expected to get another 6 inches on Tuesday. Hubby still needs to get out and finish off the driveway. He and one of the kids did get up and get the roof shoveled off late yesterday afternoon.

Waiting for by biopsy results. Should be in today or tomorrow. So thats going to decide what direction this week takes.

Need to get a little baking done this week. The older girls want to make fudge to give as gifts this year. Could be very interesting in the kitchen this week.

Glad to read that everyone seems to be having a good start to the week!

My weekend a heck of a lot better than last weekend. I had taken a couple of extra meds that weekend(never have been short and Doc knows I do this)...and this past weekend was SO much better that I was able to lower my dose by a pill for two days! :) So happy when that happens.

Sadly...yesterday was a bit rough. Did 90mins of Yoga...pushed myself a bit too hard...but I have been meditating lately...so that has been helping through spikes in pain.

Plan to go to N.O. tomorrow with the family...looking forward to that. Should be great to walk around and try out my new backbrace with lots of walking! Hope my pain doesn't spike :(...but gotta think positive!

Also, justanotherday...making the fudge in the kitchen with your girls sounds fun! Jealous :)

Daughter had her graduation over the weekend from University of North Texas. It was huge, three different times for all the graduations! and it was cold up North of Dallas. It was over 3 hours and I will have to post more on it later. I'm so very tired and physically worn out...
(I had a car riding on me almost all the way up North (from Houston on hwy45) and I actually almost got to 100 mph trying to keep him off my tail pipes...finally got to a place to pull over and hubby drove the rest of the way...)
I have 2 doctors appointments this week and a procedure...

We got hit pretty hard with that snow storm this weekend. A foot of snow, plus visits from the "snow-drift monsters" in all the wrong places.

Feeling very fortunate for good neighbours who pitched in to help Hubby with our long, (and mostly steep!) driveway. (Just in time for more snow forecasted for tomorrow night! When it rains it pours....)

Linds, that is such good news re: your being able to work out! Yay for you. It's nice to have one less thing to stress over, isn't it?

(My surgery for this morning got postponed due to my doc being stuck in TX, unable to get a flight out/in with this snow & ice... But I spoke with him on the phone this morning, and he's very encouraging about getting me in within the next few days. So I have that to look forward to).

well i made it to monday. friday was kinda busy between driving my son to from school (twice) he had finals and they were at two diffrent times during the day. plus some other running around so drove about 8 hours friday. saturday was a snow day, we got around 4-5 inches and shoveled a couple of times, think i'm paying for that today also had snow yesterday so paying for that shoveling also. no biggie, enjoyed being outdoors. well the lots and sidewalks are cleared and just in time too, more snow here tonight as well. hope everyone is feeling as well as can be today.
