Is it safe to use a Inversion Table after a Microdiscectomy ? Do they really help ? And have any of you used this Table ? I can see how it would be a problem if I had a fusion .

I would not, a lot of folks have caused more injuries after using one. A friend of ours used one, ended up herniating a disc & he had to have a fusion done. They are not worth the risk. Since you did have a micro done I do not think that kind of thing would be worth the risk.
Take care.

I agree with Susie.
I would avoid them completely. I think they have their place, and perhaps someone with a fully healthy spine can benefit.
But for those of us who've already had surgery and have an impaired spine, we cannot afford what the tables may do to our spines, the positions they put our spines into. I would not risk it. Not at all.

Here is another NO. They naturally pull the spine by the weight of your body and gravity so any place thats already weakened or problematic can suffer more damage.
A good low impact exercise program your therapist
recommends or hydrotherapy would be much more beneficial

Thanks for the replies. You're right I better not take any chances.
I guess I will continue to do what I learned at PT.
