Hi everyone. I didn't see one of these for today so starting one....hope I just didn't miss seeing it...

I went for my 2 week check up today since surgery...got the all clear to go without the collar except for when I'm in a car...so exciting!!! I couldn't wait to get it off! Drove me absolutely nuts! No collar, no bandage...YAY! My incision looks really good. The doc told me I could do chores...dishes ,etc but still can not lift over 10lbs. I'm happy with that...I'm tired of sitting around and doing nothing. I also asked about the numbness in my thumb...before surgery my whole entire thumb was numb, since the surgery just the tip of it has been numb. He told me it would continue to get better over the next few weeks so maybe by the time I go back in one month it will be gone and back to normal.

I hope everyone is doing well this week...I'm on the road to recovery and finally time to slow down some mindwise!

Outstanding cinfullangel!! I am so happy for you that things are going so well! I had my trial morphine injection for getting a implanted pump! Trial went well after they were able to get the needle into the spinal canal! Had allot of problems getting it in, and finally had to change to a bigger stronger needle! Somewhat painful as they kept hitting the nerve and causing pain in my left buttocks and leg! Anyway as soon as insurance approves it the will schedule the surgery. Have had some problems tonight with vomiting and low grade fever but don't feel that bad so don't know if it is related to the procedure if it get worse by tomorrow will check back with that clinic.

Anyway the injection really did relieve my lower back pain and leg pain an appreciable amount!

Wow White Beard.I cringed reading yours'.Glad it's given you some relief from nerve pain.

I had a procedure (6 injections) in my lower back January 9th of this year and for the next 46 days I suffered the worst pain I've ever had.From my right ankle bone to my right hip.

If it hadn't gone away I don't know what I would or could have done.

My back is better than it's been in years.

I've joined a gym.I go 3 times a week.I'm limited to what I can do but just riding the bike helps my knee and my hips a great deal.

In the last 5 weeks I've gone from 2 30 mg OxyContons a day to 3 10 mg Norcos.

I'm not sure what the future holds.

I hope y'all have low-pain weeks God Bless you all.

Glad to hear the trial went well andthe injection helped with the pain WB! Hopefully it won't take long for them to approve that so you can get the pain pump soon! I hope you are feeling better in the morning!

Rick I hope your pain continues with the way it is now and keeps getting better! Maybe to even get off the Norcos! Since my surgery I'm taking 1 percoset every 8 hours....sometimes if I don't rest during the day I need something else so they had told me to take either aleve or tylenol in between so that is what I have done. Hopefully soon I won't need anything.

I'm glad your surgery seems to have gone well.

I hope you get back the life you want and your nicks don't keep you out of the game.

I take about 1/2 of the number of pills a day that I did 2 years ago.

Yay Cin! Happy for you! Hope things continue improving every day.

Keep up the good healing. Don't overdo it with the chores/cleaning and stuff. I know you're antsy to start doing stuff, but take it easy. I assure you, you will have the rest of your life to do chores around the house/cleaning, etc. Glad you are doing better--just start slow and work up to doing more.

LOL I am very antsy to get busy since I haven't been able to do anything for the last 3 months but I know I have to watch it and not overdo...I've been tackling one chore a day....cleaned off the kitchen table yesterday...today I mopped half the kitchen floor....if I do one thing a day I should be ok and eventually I'll have the house back in tip top shape like it was before! :)

Going to talk things over with pm doctor on Friday and maybe get injections set up soon...or maybe a rhizotomy to see if something can help, neck pain is bad...

Monday was PT, Tues neck and T1 injections, today walked with new lab guy down to the lagoons but had to get the samples myself because he didn't have boots. I amazed myself by being able to walk up the hill again, nearly 1/4 mile! Then I crashed on the couch. No improvement in nerve pain. Tomorrow I see new neuro surg about meningioma.
