My heart goes out to you, I suffered from a frozen shoulder for only about
8 months and the pain was horrendous. I found the cotisone shots directly into the tendons helped the most. This was done under guidance of an ultrsound and so reached the right areas. I had two, the second made a huge difference but I also had weekly physio and painful everyday exercises trying to stretch my movement until I could get the best range I could.
I also did hydro therapy which was far less painful being under water and involved using weights to build strength and range. I have now regained most of my movement but I do seem to have trouble with rotation especially behind my back but thank G no more pain!!!
The worst thing about it was the lack of sleep, I felt like a complete zombie trying to survive.
Physio and thera bands definately provided improvement, they massaged my neck and upper back which had all spasmed with the pain and used a lovely huge heat pack across my shoulders afterwards. I kept getting headaches and this treatment improved that as well.
Best of luck, it was horrible to go through. golitho
