I was under the impression that I would get the LTD and then be forced to apply for SSD by the LTD insurer. The LTD would decrease as soon as SSD gets approved, but I would get both, after a while they then would offer a lump sum pay out or I could continue. I would never get more than my origional LTD rate between the two.
I am aware I will be denied, thats to be exepcted. The dr doesnt think I will be though, I am not sure why he is so convinced. My brother was approved for SSD within 3 months of applying, and he doesnt even have a dx, sometimes it works quickly. I know I dont have that luck though.
I dont have an attorney but wont hesitate to do it when the time comes. I have to many drs offices that can screw things up, not sending the correct paperwork or whatever.
The dr that I saw on Monday is an independent medical evaluator that does evals for SSD. I am hoping that allready seeing him on my own is in my favor.
